Best WW2 game ever since sudden strike 4. Fun game-play so grinding for unlocks is fun ! There are a lot of unlocks for the game; Crew members, tank cosmetics, crew and tank upgrades and new tanks. Characters are unique with their facial expressions in game. Even though I don't understand Japanese, you don't have to, to enjoy this gem of a game.

If you're a fan of WOT, or War Thunder, but want a single player, non-live service experience, then this game is for you. It plays very much like the aforementioned games, there are a fair number of missions (plus skirmish), and a decent amount of tanks with a variety of crew to upgrade. As someone with quite a few hours in WOT Blitz, I can say that the physics are very similar, just a little bit different, and all in all I had a good time with this one. I'd say this game is 8/10 at least, if this is your kind of thing.

Very enjoyable historical tank simulation/arcade game. I've played through the whole campaign and thoroughly enjoyed it. Easy to play but still challenging. NOT Girls and Panzer (yes I've watched it and enjoyed it as well), the only similarities is that it's anime style and about tanks. As a WWII super-nerd, I can tell you this is a highly historical game, following the campaigns of General Heinz Guderian, who developed and put into practice the German Panzer Division and formed the foundation of modern land warfare for the last 85 years. You play through the early war years from Poland through France, and into Russia, experiencing the heyday of Blitzkrieg. The tank models themselves are very accurate. The game does sacrifice a fair amount of realism for playability. You can "cheat" by accessing tanks before they would have been available, but if you want to stay accurate, just run the missions with the vehicles you would have had for the time. This will make the game much harder. You will quickly find that German tanks of the time were actually inferior to their opponents, and won because of their new tactics, rather than a superiority in numbers and quality. The game is clearly designed for players to just have fun, instead of being a hard core tank sim. Forgiveness can be found with ammo drops and field repairs that, of course, would not be able to occur in real life, but do make the game much less frustrating. Your crews can be male or female or mixed, they each have some back story and unlockable skills. They act like typical soldiers, complaining about orders, wondering what they will do after the war, interests, hobbies, friendships, budding romances and the like. Very down to earth with a heavy smattering of German language. If you can't stomach being a WWII German soldier, don't bother with this game, but it's refreshingly apolitical. The nearest you get is a general fear of being discovered saying something disloyal and getting reported to the Gestapo. Guderian himself was "promoted" out of field command to industrial development (if I recall correctly) over arguments with Hitler about strategic objectives and the "no retreat" policy. The only criticism I have is that there is little character development. Especially for a fun, anime style game, it would be nice to get more of their stories. Perhaps, the more you play with a character, the more of their story you get. Maybe make choices for them, build relationships with other characters, etc. Even have the possibility of getting killed if you fail a mission. Overall, highly recommend! Panzer, vor!

Very fun and entertaining game. Would be nicer if it were more restricted on the availability of the tanks more on date of availability rather than on points. They "do" restrict the various big tanks on date but with enough points you could roll into France with a long barrelled Mark IV firing APCR all over the place. The mark IV is the most powerful you just need points for. Big disappointment is that the most successful German tank destroyer of WW2, the Stug IIIG, is not in the game, they include the A variant but nothing after. Coverage of the mark III, IV and VI is done well. Would be nice to have the option of Russia or Africa. Very happy with the game though, worth the money especially when on sale.

Finally, Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match on PC but without the GuP mechanics and more of a bit of WoT mechanics such as the components like turret or tracks getting destroyed and having to be repaired but not as advanced like WT. I came for the girls but stayed for the war PTSD, the guilt of invading other countries, the guilt of destroying tanks that are crewed by sons, fathers or husbands and watching the war drag on as more soldiers perish along. 8/10 good game. Buy it when it is on sale.
