(no spoilers) i am absolutely mind blown from this game. my friend and i had no idea it would be as long as it was, we spend about 4 hours on the previous one, and 8 on this. that's double time and SO MANY puzzles. like i said about the previous game, these puzzles were so well written, and they stayed fresh and different! i will say there were a couple puzzles i thought were really bad to play through, but maybe the fact that both my friend and i were already weary and getting more tired had something to do with our lack of enjoyment of it. that puzzle it's towards the end. and really, we loved most puzzles. they're so good, it catches your attention and you will literally not want to stop playing. we played through the whole thing in one sitting. this is so good i have no words. the characters are awesome, the story is even better. i love this. 10/10

Great game riddled with mediocrity. Parallel Experiment's puzzles are fantastic, they are wonderfully original using the coop aspect beautifully not only to hide clues at the other person's perspective but to also hide the context under which the puzzle is meant to be solved. This makes the gameplay itself feel fresh at nearly every single point, never doing the same thing twice and (barring a couple examples to be mentioned later) never feeling tiring. While the gameplay itself is excellent, the writing is... well, not. Damn near every sentence is either exposition dumps or a string of cliches one after the other. I swear the amount of times the phrase "do you want to play a game" is used should bring up copyright issues for the developers. A lot of the time it feels like it doesn't really want to say anything in its story but it just pads its playtime. It uses a fun system in some conversations where both players talk to the same NPC and each of them can choose to respond in different ways, something that sounds fun on paper (and is REALLY fun in one particular scene) but generally is executed terribly. Whenever a choice on a response is given most of the answers the NPCs give is "haha well anyway" before dumping more exposition at you. This is certainly not aided by the somewhat stiff and unguided voice acting which at times just sounds absolutely ridiculous and completely takes you out of the scene. While the greater mysteries at play have incredible potential and a chance to be deeply captivating it feels like it trips over itself at every step in a masochistic ritual of self denial. This gets even more relevant during the last couple sections where in its attempt to be "cinematic" it grinds the pace of its puzzles - the shining light that is otherwise really well executed - down to a halt in order to aid the plot, to make the way scenes play out feel more final and grand. In actuality it just makes the ending feel... boring. You have a final scene where (minor spoilers about structuring of the scene) you want the viewer to feel tense and engaged where they have to wait for damn near a full minute to walk to bad guy mcevilson and then follow that up with ANOTHER scene that is meant to make you feel tense and engaged where you have to replay a mediocre and slow minigame for a couple MORE minutes. Creative choices like that felt incoherent, directionless just like the writing as a whole. As a final note, yes i DO recommend this game, yes both me and the friend i played it with deeply enjoyed it, but it was strictly for the gameplay which i bypassed talking about in depth in this review out of fear of spoiling people to it. The puzzles themselves are phenomenal and i do 100% recommend this game to people who enjoy communication-as-the-puzzle as well as escape room styled games. The story was just a bad aspect that made it difficult to fully love. The character writing between the two player characters is fun and quipy, showing that this studio has good potential for changing this in future instalments, but as it stands this game should only really be checked out by fans of the genre out of fear of alienation from the slow, crawl-like pace the plot has at times.

It's worth time and money. Never played a puzzle-game better that this one, besides maybe the other two by Eleven Puzzles. Yeah, the puzzles a little meh and not quit understandable sometimes, and it has a few bags(like air-walking or automatically skip of cut-scenes) but it just gave us "OH IT'S SOLVES LIKE THAT?" feeling and made us chuckle. Definitely worth it. Will be first in line to buy the next game by Eleven Puzzles!!

Honestly, if you like puzzle solving, then this is right up your alley. This is worth so much more than the price you buy it at. There are some bugs during gameplay, but just restart the game and it should fix itself. Story was interesting, strange, and the puzzles were challenging and far from few. If there's another game in the works, I'm really excited for it.

Me and my friend have been waiting for this game since playing "unsolved case" and "unboxing the cryptic killer" we just started chapter 3 but we have had so much fun so far and really enjoy everything this company has put out. The story is compelling and the puzzles are challenging without being punishing! perfect for people who love puzzle games with a good mystery!
