I first acquired PARTICLE MACE nearly a decade ago on a Steam Sale, but never got around to actually playing it. It wasn't until a few weeks ago, when I encountered a physical arcade machine for the game in real life that I actually first tried it, and it turns out that it's actually a blast. It may take some time to get accustomed to how you move your projectiles, but once you do it can be insanely rewarding to rack up multi-kills while dodging and weaving asteroids and enemy ships and the shifting arena walls. Furthermore, the mission mode is very interestingly designed, with three at any given time, many of which add their own unique modifiers and challenges. These modifiers can stack up in ways which may be detrimental, but may also allow one to assist in the completion of another. For example, one mission may demand that you don't break any asteroids for a set period of time, a task which typically requires careful wrangling of your projectiles. Another, however, may limit the number of projectiles you have, which will make make the first mission significantly easier. They may be completed at the player's discretion, resulting in a flexible and ever changing campaign, despite the simplicity of the gameplay. There are also a number of ships to unlock, each with different particle and movement behavior. Altogether this is a great little arcade game that I let gather virtual dust in my library for far too long, definitely check it out!

Oh Hell yeah! Read More Below |/ ! Just one flight with this and your Steam Deck and I'm pretty sure you'll be happy you had it. It's fun when you actually play it and it makes sense to do so. Flights are boring. Someone always has a crying cub or three and one of those attendants seems to always smell like vodka. Powering up the ole hand held whilst they give their shpeal on "don't be alarmed if it doesn't inflate". Don't worry Doll, that's the last of my concerns at that point eh? Just saying, I'm not going to wonder where that smell is coming from I'll just slap the mask on and make a face like everyone else. That's what ya do when there's an unpleasant odor you can't do anything about, other than put the ole mask on and make a face. I don't make the rules I make the face. Be good to you and always to remember keep your cheeks clean... At least as best as you can you know? Do your best, really though, your best. Just sayin, if you don't no ones gonna want you in their hot tub. Yeah, the rest of yous who do a good job of cleaning AND keeping clean know what I'm talking about here. The mere thought of that funky butt foo and hot tub sends your mind into distress and a big ole naa, Naa! Details need not be explored.

Amazing experience of nostalgia for classic arcade games. I've been playing this game for 5+ years now, i always come back to it when i need a break from the hellscape that is modern games.
