This is a highly flawed game with a ridiculous amount of jank, visual problems and frustrating, poorly implemented mechanics. On one level I won because a cop got stuck in a wall and I could simply kill everyone without any resistance, and on most levels there was at least one sprite that had the wrong depth and therefore showed over my player model. A lot of mechanics felt very inconsistent and the graphics and plot were very mediocre as well. However, regardless of all the issues with this game, I simply couldn't stop playing. I think the music has a lot to do with that as it was amazing, and there was always a sense that I could beat a level by going a bit slower or by playing a bit smarter. Not worth full price, but if you can pick it up for cheap I think its good for an afternoon.

It's another very casual and chill game that you can play while watching a show to relax and just have fun. I love that they added wokshop with fan made levels so literally never run out of levels to play. It's one of my absolute favority games.

Party Hard is one of those games that feels like it was designed by someone who’s had one too many sleepless nights listening to their neighbor’s thumping bass. Made by Pinokl Games, this thing is basically the anti-party party game. It takes all those wild, out-of-control house parties, the kind where someone’s always passed out in the bathtub, and lets you play as the guy who’s just had enough. Not gonna lie, the premise is dark as hell, but it’s also hilarious in a twisted, “should I really be laughing at this?” kind of way. Right from the jump, Party Hard sets this weird mood that’s equal parts tense and goofy. You’ve got pixelated people dancing their faces off while you’re skulking around, plotting how to quietly ruin their night. The game isn’t about “fun with friends” like Mario Party or whatever; it’s more like “fun at the expense of everyone else’s good time.” And the pixel art? Super simple, but it works, every scene is packed with little details. One minute you’re sneaking through a crowded kitchen, next you’re luring some poor sucker onto a dance floor booby-trapped with a suspiciously placed speaker. The story isn’t shoved in your face, it kind of bubbles up as you play, mostly through the chaos you cause and the little snippets you pick up. Honestly, it’s all a bit nuts. There’s this vibe of teetering between “doing the right thing” and just straight-up losing your mind. It’s got that Dexter-meets-Home Alone energy, if that makes any sense. Graphically, it’s slick. The colors pop but there’s always this shadowy edge, like the world’s fun but also a little dangerous. And the soundtrack? It slaps, catchy, upbeat, totally at odds with the fact that you’re sneaking around, looking for new ways to take people out without anyone noticing. Gotta love that contrast. Gameplay is sneaky good (pun intended). You don’t get a bunch of weapons or superpowers, just your wits, some traps, and a whole lotta patience. It’s all about not getting caught, and trust me, nothing tanks your night faster than some nosy partygoer spotting you and calling the cops. Sometimes, the objectives feel a bit samey after a while, but the urge to outsmart the party never really gets old. Party Hard is weird, bold, and totally its own thing. It won’t keep you up at night with nightmares, but it will make you think twice about ever throwing a rager. If you’re into strategy, dark jokes, and causing a little mayhem, this game’s a total banger. Just don’t blame me if you start eyeing your neighbor’s stereo with suspicious intent.

I recommend the game and I’m gonna start with sharing my initially mixed experience. Soo during the second half of Party Hard I was thinking wether or not to recommend it. I was leaning towards no as I've had had some moments of frustration and tediousness. Such as getting spotted by the guests for seemingly no reason or only taking out lone partygoers in quiet corners which can be a drag. The game had been fun but never felt like a fair challenge and, like I said, frustrating and poorly conceived. However at some point I checked out some guides and discussions which gave me good advice. There's some mechanics I only then understood. I had finished finished the first levels by hanging out in lonely corners and killing passing guests and being lucky in the rest of the place. I used this boring and not really fulfilling method because I didn't know any better. Turns out Party Hard is way more fun if you keep it dynamic. You have to be aware of your surroundings, sense the danger of an unwanted partygoer entering that room where you're piling bodies, have an eye for when the moment presents itself to stab a few people and get out of there, come up with a quick idea on how to get away from the cop. This game can get exciting when you manage to narrowly get away from the cop or when you just did a risky maneuver and actually got out of there. Keeping the gameplay dynamic gives you more challenging moments and a sense of reward after a level. So if after two or three levels you get doubts about it, get yourself some tips on how the guests work etc Game looks good, runs smooth, environments are diverse There's some nice ideas for special random events, special items and traps. The music is alright. It is catchy but I would have appreciated some more diversity especially with all those different locations. Like rocky music for the biker party or spooky music for Dark Castle. I like the presentation of the story. Cheesy B movie style with overly serious voice acting. Can't say anything about coop or workshop. So all in all nice little game. 10 bucks is not cheap but considering what I spend in cigs it doesn't seem that much anymore.

A 90's slasher simulator, where you have to kill everyone with environmental traps and a knife, without getting caught. The pixel art offers enough detachment to make this goofy, not gruesome.
