Beautiful spin-off for homestuck. Although I am a little sad there's no mention of the ancestors (it makes sense for them not to be, I'm just obsessed with them) This storyline was so good, not to mention the graphics and artwork were just so shockingly amazing. It was so refreshing to get to see characters who didn't get too much development in the main story, (looking at you, Eridan and Feferi) too get so much more from them! I really enjoyed every minute of my playthrough :)
I spent over double the estimated time for 100%ing the game, but that's ok, I was savoring the flavor. Overall, I'd say this game was made with Wish Fulfillment in mind. Pure jerkulatory feel-good scenarios of resolving loose ends, correcting tragedies, and fleshing out all the relationships and cultural mechanisms that were previously unseen in Homestuck. I'd hate to say it, but this was perfect for me, even if it wasn't perfect. I love these characters, and I took my sweet ♥♥♥♥♥♥ time interacting with them in every route and every branch. My only complaint is that I hated how much the MSPA's non-human blobous white form was relevant to the plot and the dialogue. I think I could see it as charming, if I weren't so annoyed by how formless and indistinct I supposedly am. And the masculine pronouns, but that wears off much later. But I can appreciate how it opens a venue to make Vriska call you a slur if you wanted. My final notes: I would say it's *non-negotiable* that you have to have read the epilogues in order to understand where everything is headed, though I feel like Hiveswap: Friendsim is more optional since it only gives you context for the past. I liked the endings. and I'm satisfied with how they fit into the grand scheme of the homestuck narrative. I'm ready to finally start Homestuck: Beyond Canon.
