A competently built 2D platformer with some light metroidvania elements (upgrades you find in later stages pave the way to secret side paths in earlier stages that lead to further upgrades and collectables). Not too difficult outside of the final boss and extra stage/boss providing a healthy challenge (nothing like crazy kaizo stuff though). Charming characters, good quality spritework, tight controls, a well managed sense of exploration (while I didn't get everything, I did do some amount of backtracking because I wanted to see what new unlocks/dialogue I could find). All around a good experience outside of one particular "on rails" stage involving a car that's pretty tedious. You may also appreciate it more if you have "tired gamer" syndrome and just want a very classic feeling full-package experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Feels like a Team Ladybug metroidvania because it basically is one! Co-developed by "Ladybug" who I'm assuming is a core part of the team, and their games use the same engine this one does. If you enjoyed Touhou Luna Nights or Record of Lodoss War- Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth you will definitely enjoy this. Short and sweet, lots of secrets to find and cool movement. A sort of weekend metroidvania. Stage 4: Luxor is outright infuriating though and the owls that give you stone are one of the worst things I've encountered in the genre lol

Another amazing metroidvania by Team Ladyb- by people who later founded Team Ladybug. Even if there's no "Team Lady-", there sure are "-bugs". After finishing the game, I was running around collecting the remaining items. At one point I opened Steam interface. After closing it, the game wasn't frozen, but I couldn't do anything, neither keyboard nor gamepad worked. After a few attempts of opening and closing Steam interface, I gave up and had to Alt+F4. This closed the game and corrupted my save file. It seems the "Never before seen extra stage" mentioned in the description shall remain unseen for some years to come yet. By me, at least. This is only one of many game-breaking or save-breaking bugs from what I read. Still, gameplay, characters, dialogues, visuals, audio and so on are great. Back your save file up regularly. Objectively: 7.5/10 (9/10, if you're lucky)

Short and fun adventure, great characters & a narrative that actually had me surprisingly engaged. There's no reason not to play it, especially for how cheap it goes. Really impressive for a near one-man project.
