Cool to see this indie doujin game get a wider release on Steam, especially with it essentially being an early Team Ladybug game, and having a lot of hallmarks of their titles (nice art and animations, fairly story-heavy for the genre). It's a fun and lighthearted action platformer that I enjoyed my time with - there are some minor Metroidvania elements, like exploring older levels to search for upgrades after getting new abilities, but it feels more like a linear 2d action game for most of its runtime (not a complaint, to be clear). My only actual complaint is that stage 5 is an irritating auto-runner level in the vein of the old Donkey Kong Country minecart levels that is far more frustrating than fun; I absolutely could have done without it. It's probably going to put me off from trying to get all the collectibles in the game as well; there are a few in that stage that seem like a nightmare to obtain. I still had a great time with the other 95% of the game though, absolutely worth spending a few hours with it.

A competently built 2D platformer with some light metroidvania elements (upgrades you find in later stages pave the way to secret side paths in earlier stages that lead to further upgrades and collectables). Not too difficult outside of the final boss and extra stage/boss providing a healthy challenge (nothing like crazy kaizo stuff though). Charming characters, good quality spritework, tight controls, a well managed sense of exploration (while I didn't get everything, I did do some amount of backtracking because I wanted to see what new unlocks/dialogue I could find). All around a good experience outside of one particular "on rails" stage involving a car that's pretty tedious. You may also appreciate it more if you have "tired gamer" syndrome and just want a very classic feeling full-package experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.
