What devil's bargain would you take to make a novel puzzle game in 2026? This developer took "realtime elements", and the result is the best possible incarnation of what you might expect. There is solid humor throughout, but the level design is why you'll stick around. They knew what they were doing for the bulk of more serious puzzles. Simple, handcrafted "impossibilities" that many other games lack prevent you from getting too frustrated by asking you to think deeply at regular intervals. Ends a bit weakly/abruptly, but was well worth the time I spent with it. 9.5/10

I've been waiting this game to launch for, like, MONTHS, and words cannot truly describe the intent behind the following statement: I LOVE IT. Like, take AM's Speech and exchange the word 'Hate' for 'Love'. That's how much I loved it. This is genuiely one of the best games I've played this year (and maybe one of the best I've ever played). First, the graphics: You can really see how much love the team behind it has put into it. Every little thing has those little animations that fisically makes me want to grab those sprites and eat them for breakfast. Second, the gameplay: Now, the game IS kinda of easy sometimes (I'm still on the third world, so idk if it changes from here) but when it wants to give the player something more challanging, it can do that very well! (Especially in the bonus levels, those are REALLY hard.) If you like silly puzzle games like Baba Is You, please give it a try. Toad pokage really is that good of a mechanic. Can't wait for the next updates!

Do you ever see a cat or sleeping relative and immediately hear a dark voice whispering "Jab them awake!" This is not only the game for you, this is the game for everyone! The puzzles are nice, the music is nice, and ALL the animations are SO charming. I find myself grinning all the time just catching some of the loading screen graphics as they go by, or seeing some of the fairies' animations in different scenarios. There's lots of cool little niche interactions too that are only there just for fun. As the first entry into the toad-poking genre of games (and last, as ALL toads have already been poked), this game is absolute peak. all toads.

I've been waiting anxiously for this game ever since playing the demo last year and the full game doesn't disappoint. The concept is very unique and helps it stand out from other topdown, sokobon-ish puzzle games. The puzzles themselves put up a great challenge and there's plenty of them. The art style is nice to look at and gives the game a lot of personality. I love the load screens in particular, they're a great motivator to keep you going. I'm loving what I played so far and can't wait to play more. A must play for puzzle gamers.
