IT'S DONE!!! After 72.5 hours of spraying literally everything in sight, I have finally 100%ed the game. I genuinely love this game. It has easily become one of my favorites, and even though I've finished everything, I know I would and WILL come back to it whenever I need a relaxing, no-think game to play. There's something so satisfying about watching something go from absolutely filthy to completely clean. It's simple, relaxing, and ridiculously addictive. It's also PERFECT to play while you're listening to a podcast, music, audiobook, etc. You'll sit down thinking, "I'll play just for a little bit," and next thing you know, 5 hours have passed. That's how much this game will have and KEEP your attention. I also loved almost all of the DLCs. They were a big reason I wanted to keep coming back to power wash. Like seriously, I get to clean the Krusty Krab? Shrek's swamp house? COME ON. The only one I wasn't thrilled about was the Warhammer 40,000 DLC, and that's probably on me. I've never played the games or really know anything about them. I just found those jobs tedious and a lil boring. I've had so many relaxing nights just power washing away, and honestly, I'm a little sad that I've finally 100%ed it. Just means it's time to move on to PowerWash 2, which I'm equally as excited about. 10/10. Would happily spend another 70 hours cleaning virtual dirt.
There's something extremely satisfying about this game that makes it impossible for me to stop playing once I start. What sounds like a simple cleaning game somehow turns into one of the most relaxing, rewarding, and genuinely addictive games I've owned. Every level scratches that perfect "just one more section" itch, and watching the grime disappear with each spray is weirdly therapeutic. The sound design, the satisfying and rewarding ding when a section is complete, and the tiny details hidden beneath the dirt make every map feel exciting instead of repetitive. I love how calming this game is while still feeling incredibly rewarding, and its honestly become one of my favorite games to throw on when I want to relax, zone out, and feel productive without stressing myself out. Somehow cleaning virtual objects with a power washer became peak gaming for me and I regret absolutely nothing.
Essentially an adult coloring book gameified. Definitely recommended if you need to relax and clean up some gunk. Also, definitely wait for a sale and get all the DLC bundled in to get the full experience. A WARNING to Steam Deck users, however. If you play this on deck and on PC and rely on cross-progression, you should know the save may not cross correctly, and you may need to reclean some surfaces. I doubt this will get fixed, as the second game is out, but just be aware of this issue.
This game is absolutely incredible and worth every penny of the full asking price. The detail level of each job is really impressive, and it's really satisfying to clean all the various objects they put in front of you. I would give the game itself a 10/10, best in class for a simulator game, however, I really do not like that they locked half of the achievements behind paid DLC. Even though I love the game and LOVE the DLC, I think locking achievements behind some $50 plus dollars of optional DLC is really scummy and even this game doesn't get a pass about it. The DLC is excellent and high quality and really worth the asking prices, but only if you're into the game already. I just believe all of the achievements should be obtainable in the base game. I would still highly recommend this game though, I still go back and play it often.
