Are most of the levels basically the same? Yes. Is that exactly what you signed up for? Also yes. There are two ways to play this game: 1. turn off your brain after a long day at work and fulfill your dream of recreating Post 10's YouTube channel 2. Find the optimal method of clearing each level and topping the leaderboard. I would call these people sweaty, but all the water you're wadding through washes the sweat off. Suggestions for the devs: Shovel upgrades (even a T2 shovel that clears more area at once would be really nice) The ability to hold down left click with the shovel to keep clearing (I swear I got a mild case of carpal tunnel from this game) Either have dragging the rake actually be useful, or remove the ability to do so
this game is extremely satisfying, but currently lacks content. currently, the game mostly consists of unclogging a few drains around the maps, and waiting for it to drain... theres a few, more interesting maps, that lets you dig and build a river ish. and a dam that breaks. but currently, its just simply not enough. this game has immense potential, but the dev either needs to start putting out maps, or develop a way to let players build their own maps. to dev, i think you should take a peak at the gmod gwater maps, its obviously a very different style of gameplay than drainsim, but id love to have a sandbox map in drainsim where the only goal is to mess with the water physics. im not joking when i say i probably spent a good 50+ hours in gmod just messing around with gwater's physics sim. water sim is extremely satisfying to mess around with, but we need to be able to play with water way more than simply waiting for a drain to unclog. please dev, dont leave the potential of this game untouched, it could be so incredibly fun. also, small recomendations: id love it if we could add dirt with the shovel, it would give the player way more options. we need more upgrades. bigger vacuum capacity, bigger/wider squeegee area? bigger inflatable dam etc i get that you are trying to keep things somewhat realistic, but also, this is a video game, where you can take the liberty of giving a better quality of life for the players to be able to enjoy the game more. (right now the vac capacity is too small, i always run around emptying it, id love to be able to upgrade its capacity) this game seriously has a lot of potential, and whats important is that you dont give up dev <3 im exited to see what the future of this game brings. keep up the great work!
It's got great bones. Keen to see where it goes and what features will be added in the future. Hoping that the game makes some money so the devs can replace the AI content with content from real artists and voice actors though. EDIT: As of April 13th the AI radio/intro voice has been replaced with a human!
BRING MORE CONTENT! Have been in love with the game, and after replaying the levels a few times, I have reached all there is to the game. I would love the ability to haul more gear into levels with me since the starter truck is just not sufficient enough currently to handle what I'd idealistically bring once I've completed the levels and now going for best times. Otherwise, fantastic sim. I could drain tens more hours into the game ;) Edit: New Vehicles have been added! Absolutely brilliant! Replay rewards give some re-playability, quite the grind to get the biggest vehicle. Also, just learned this is being developed by a single dev! Kudos to him!
