Just finished 100% completion, and this is a shockingly deep game for how simple it is. Unlike other RTS, Pyramida strictly rewards specifically minimalist playstyles that choose a flowchart for how many resources you acquire, when you do so, and why you need them. The time limit is shockingly strict for such a simple win condition, and the reward is basically a virtual ant farm that will exist forever, presuming you don't actively kill it. By the time I was able to get my first victory, I was so proficient at the game that I got all remaining achievements on my 2nd victory, they included, the 20 day speedrun, vegan, and no archery hut. I am incredibly proud of my completion of this game. I had an inkling I would be, but not by this much. It is satisfying to master Pyramida in a way that is completely invisible on your first playthrough. Ignore the jank, and open your mind to what causes you to lose runs, and you will find a truly rewarding game that give you a prize of a forever world that you will have incredible sentimental value for. You must experience this game!
This game is a fantastic, small exercise in managing the finite and the brutal consequences that can come with that. First and foremost, it is HARD. Expect to barely get past day 5 until your 4th or 5th run. Managing resources is punishing - use up all your berries before agriculture and you're SOL - but that makes the minor footholds and achievements all the more rewarding. The AI can be irritating - it barely knows what to do with itself if you aren't holding its hand - but wrangling your little guys is half the fun. This also makes it feel rewarding when you finally get some logistical breathing room and are able to plan for a bit without having to throw new orders to prevent a backlog of resources. Overall, well worth the price and very satisfying to finally beat in the end. I don't think I'll replay it, but it was worth my money for a good 5-10 hours of frustration and eventual mastery.
Very fun and engaging, hard to walk away from. Edit after reading some other reviews: Yes the game is hard, but that's part of the fun of it. It's a challenge. It is absolutely possible to beat the game and yes, you will probably have to do multiple attempts before you get it right, but it would be much less interesting if you got everything right on the first try.
