Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart is an awesome video game. I have played multiple Rachet & Clank games on the PS2/PS3 and it was awesome to see a lot of characters making their appearance in this game with a twist. It is one of the better Rachet & Clank games in my opinion. The gameplay is fantastic with 20 unique weapons and a lot of cool platforming. Only downsize that there is not a lot of variety in the enemies themselves. Sound design and the graphics are top-notch. This game with ultra setting and raytracing looks so gorgeous. I finished this game 100% with a very big smile on my face. I can only recommend this game!

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is like fast food- gameplay is simple but addictive, movement and weapons are great. Visuals are stunning, and its really awesome to see R&C on PC. If you were to turn your brain off and put something on in the background to listen to, I guarantee you'll have a great time. And that's the fast food aspect, its fun to play, but this is a game from a series that has existed for over two decades. There are more elements going on than simple action. There is a story with characters, and this aspect was not my favorite. Although an improvement from the horrendous 2016 remake, there's still room for growth. Long gone are the days of a sarcastic criticism of capitalism and consumerism, no more gritty atmospheres full of amazing breakbeat/jungle scores; now Ratchet and Clank aims to appeal to a broader, modern audience, and it plays out generically in order to achieve this. Rift Apart was made for kids, whereas previous entries where more for teens. Even though this is not a huge discrepancy, its felt very much in the depth of the story and characters (or rather lack of). Rift Apart plays out very safely, feeling uninspired at the worst, and a bit cringy at the best. Ratchet had always been my favorite character, it was beautiful seeing him mature over the series, until 2016 hit. They had flipped his personality around entirely, being the precise opposite of his counter in 2002. In the original, he was a bit of a hothead who only really knew how to take care of himself, having to learn to not push others away and become more sympathetic. He reflected the criticisms as the world he lived in was greatly exaggerated, he was a punk that wasn't afraid to use violence. On the other hand, the remake made him a dork, a bit of a geek who wants to join this superhero police force. Tf? But this is not a review on that game, instead I am explaining how that depiction of Ratchet affected him is this game. Closer to his older self by feeling more experienced, Ratchet in Rift Apart, coming off of the remake, is essentially the most basic, goody two-shoe hero, his personality ranging from 'sad' to 'heroic'. This sanitization applies to nearly each character. There was an attempt with Rivet and Kit, but it felt wholly basic and predictable. I'm not trying to be overly harsh, but its just extremely apparent that this is no longer a series with more thoughtful characters with a variety of complexities. Nuance has been left for accessibility. In addition, the return of Dr. Nefarious was as horrid as it was in 2016. Felt so lazy that they couldn't come up with a new villain, almost like Insomniac was too timid to try. And I do wish the alternate dimensions were played with more conceptually, it seems as though they only scraped the surface, considering the potential it had. Ultimately, this was my messy way of saying that you won't find anything meaningful with the characters or story. Accepting that the series that it once was on the PS2 is not coming back, all one can do is point to what is currently being presented and prepare for the future. Therefore, I appreciate the obvious effort that was put into making this entry stand on its two feet a little better. Lore is added, characters have 'development', and it ends off on a note that leaves room for a sequel. Even though I may have sounded cruel, I only say these things because I love this series. I love that we may finally see the Lombaxes. I love that the window has been opened for more PC installments. And I still would recommend this game because, as a game should be, it is indeed fun. I personally have more investment to the world because of my love for the PS2 and PS3 games, but for what it is, it certainly can be headed in the right direction with some tweaks.

Whos d*** do i have to suck to get previous rachet and clanks on pc? I liked the game so much, the story and funny phrases, a bit comical that I laughed honestly, simple gameplay, fun to beat and combos, the change between dimensions very interesting and I would even like a sequel and the old characters from the trilogy if possible, this game was a breath of fresh air, a pleasure to play regardless of age. My father and mother learned it quite quickly, well, it took a while, I won't lie to you because they had never played it before, but when they learned it well, it was a little harder and they started to get going, and they liked the game, most of all, as you can see, they liked the characters and their voices and the change or moving / leaving to other planets and the colors, well, they said, take it, but I think it was about the graphics and drawing, the construction and art design, and the crux of the matter was that the game seemed too short to them and they wanted more, but they said better, especially since the time of the person who works / works is limited / short. And if there is a sequel on this model, they wouldn't refuse to try and play a sequel. And Sony, now we honestly want Bloodborne on PC or Remaster or Remake, but come and think about bringing it to PC, everyone wants and is waiting for that game, you don't hear our voices and our messages, we are screaming out loud why are you so stubborn, and adjust the prices of the games, especially those older ones from 5-10 years ago, seriously lower them, I understand you have good games with a story or a new story written and implemented, but some are also old and high or high prices won't help you much in sales, especially since the market in some countries is small, salaries are low, so you too can understand for once. We want to take your games but if they have a high price it's not really possible we have high costs, high inflation, everything has become more expensive and the salary being low we think first where we would give and you with your discounts are not so good compared to other companies that really do make discounts much, much better between 75-80-90% discounts because after all they are only single-player and I think you want to make a profit but that and you have to make compromises to lower more so that you still get out or generate money it's not logical as I see it. So good people, I beg you very much, this big, beautiful and kind community, I ask you if you are willing to help me with as many links and prizes for the review that I made a bet on and I convinced my parents to play the game, and I also wait for Sony if they listened that they could make a sequel, I also wait for the other older games to come to PC, the God of War series, Killzone, inFamous and the most awaited and desired game that we want, namely Bloodborne. I greet you, I appreciate any help and effort from you, any prize is welcome and would help me a lot to collect as much as possible to show them to my parents.
