A short, simple, but genuinely fun isometric hack-and-slash beat 'em up experience. There's nothing particularly spectacular here, but it definitely scratches an itch. I really enjoyed the combat and difficulty spikes. The game strikes a lovely balance between encouraging you to utilize all your combat abilities and just letting you have fun. Upgrading your character, timing your attacks and combat skills, kiting enemies, and using the environment to your advantage were easily the most enjoyable aspects for me. If you're into that kind of gameplay and want a quick, entertaining experience without a huge time commitment, I'd definitely recommend it.
I don't recall whether this is an early access game, and I can't find any indication that it is... however... If it IS still in early-access, the game shows a lot of potential. Very responsive controls, a great conceptual layout for abilities and attacks, good combos, nice finishers, decent use of environment. If it's not early-access however, it needs a *lot* of work. There are several hit-box issues, targeting issues (especially when large enemies attempt to grab you, even if they completely miss, sometimes you still magically wind up underneath them), UI issues (telling you to spend points you actually can't spend) or mechanics issues (if you're indeed supposed to have those points, but can't spend them). Overall, it looks like it will be great when it's finished/cleaned up. Until then, I actually wouldn't spend your money on it. Fortunately, I got it pretty cheap... and you get what you pay for.
