Main menu is a bit outdated but overall fairly realistic game if you have a set up for sim racing wish they’d come out with a newer game or updated a couple of items

This is the best sim racing game out in terms of realism. Isn't that why we play? Also, because it was developed so long ago, modern hardware runs it really well. Its not a drag on high end systems like games using unreal engine. Very high framerates make for a much more realistic and fluid experience. Getting a critical mass of online players seems to be the challenge for any sim exception iRacing. Don't know how to solve that one, Studio 397 has tried.

First of all whose wisdom was to put all base game free content in a seperate location of steam workshop. It took me 2 hours to install them as I wasn't able to figure out what am I supposed to install. I installed the wrong stuff and then again uninstalled and installed the correct one. I am real pissed. Coming to the sim itself, RF2 is probably one of the best sims on the market in terms of car handling physics and probably the worst in terms of UI. You will fell in love once you get hang of it. I cannot speak for the DLCs but the base game content is mersmerizing and ample for me. NOTE : WAIT FOR SALE, RF2 GETS REAL CHEAP THEN. BUY RF1 TOO, IT HAS THIS NOSTALGIC SIM FEELING. WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SIMMING !

I recently had the pleasure of diving into this outstanding racing simulator, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I started the game, I was blown away by the stunning graphics. What truly sets this simulator apart is its realistic physics model. Every turn, every acceleration, and every brake feels authentic, making it a delight for racing enthusiasts. The way the car reacts to different surfaces and road conditions adds an incredible layer of depth to the gameplay, allowing players to truly hone their skills. Overall, this racing simulator combines breathtaking visuals with a remarkable level of realism. It’s a must-play for anyone who loves racing games! Highly recommended!

I'm revisiting rFactor 2 after a couple of years away, mainly because I;m really enjoying Le Mans Ultimate. The improvement in the whole experience, especially the front end, is really impressive. This is back on my list of driving Sims to play
