Rhythm Sprout is a quirky, rhythmic adventure that perfectly mixes silly humour with legit musical challenges. High Notes: βœ… The rhythm-based combat is quite fun. The game combines a unique beat hitting with combat and movement through each level. It's a different take on a rhythm game that I hadn't experienced before and has been a blast to play through. βœ… Varied soundtracks for each level. Different genres and styles of music are used for each level, keeping the gameplay interesting and engaging as you progress through the story. The BPMs also can change dramatically between levels too. βœ… Playful and unserious storyline. It's pretty lighthearted and doesn't take itself seriously. I got a few laughs from the dialogue and interactions between characters, and I think it works well for this style of game. βœ… Provides replayability and difficulty adjustments. There is an attempt to provide replayability with an EX mode after beating a level, having options like Turbo Speed, Mirrored Beats, and Randomised Beats. βœ… The levels gradually increase in difficulty. The gameplay becomes challenging but fair as you progress the levels. The Sugar Rush mechanic is also a cool feature to increase your score and strategically overcome harder parts of a level. Slightly Undercooked: ⚠️ The gameplay is a bit too simple. The core mechanics of gameplay do not evolve much. From the first level to the last, there are only Left, Right, and Dodge notes. I would've liked to see a bit more variety (e.g., Hold notes). ⚠️ Needs the option to have trigger sounds. An option to play sounds when a note is triggered would have been helpful to align my timing with the soundtrack. ⚠️ Untapped potential to make our own levels. It would be also great if it were possible to make our own level beat maps, but I understand that the devs have already addressed this. Verdict: 8/10 On a final note, I quite enjoyed Rhythm Sprout for its catchy beats and its unserious story. At first I did think it was a bit too easy but little did I know that the difficulty would ramp up quickly, particularly at the later levels. If you're a rhythm game enthusiast then I definitely recommend giving it a try!

This game is an hidden gem. Great and Funny Story. The tracks are all fire and the visuals amazing. Honestly I bought the game while on sale and was not expecting much, but I got completely addicted. Cant wait to hear more about this development company, this game is a masterpiece.

You know a game is good, when you driving home and then Jammin' Jungle comes on so you extend your journey. You know a game is good when you have permanent discoloration on your controller from the sweat of getting all the achievements and trying to FC K-FLOW. You know a game is good when your neck and foot have semi-permanent tendinitis by bopping along with the best soundtrack i have ever heard. You know a game is good when you would consider donating money to Rune Bjerkaas who made the most creative and unique OST, like every song is different but they all somehow tie in together with different motifs. Best rhythm game out there, game of the year for me. I would work as personal butler to Rune Bjerkaas to able to get a DLC for this.

This is probably one of the most fun rhythm games I've played in years. Hate that there's not a long of songs (30 levels total) and wish there was some workshop support to make your own levels, but there's modifiers like Turbo Mode and a seeded random mode for every level, so replayability isn't an issue at all. Highly recommended for anyone who loves rhythm games.
