The Title of the game tells you everything, you are surfing/riding your music. It detects the beats and rythm of your song and moves the track to it. Works best with electronic music.

Did you even want to pilot a ship through the visualizer in Winamp or WMP? Then get yourself AudioSurf. I've played this for many many years, it's a staple fall back to something simple and enjoyable. Playing music from your own library lets you set the mood and speed at which you'll play. Not demanding and doesn't have a high learning curve, just a good way to enjoy casual game time.

This game is amazing, and even better if you get it on sale. You just point to a folder of music on your computer and dodge obstacles that roughly match the audio tempo. It's a great way to vibe and chill out if you enjoy racing type games.

I'll be honest. I haven't played this in years. Even if my hours count is low it's not accurate to how many hours I've played in my teens. Reviewing cause the games creator is making a new game and I can't wait. Day one for me to show my loyalty and appreciation. Proper zen it was to play this game through my own tracks downloaded of old Electro and progressive house music I had. I lost those songs cause of dead hard drives and laptops. Oh. now I'm sad. damn.

This was my very first steam game. I remember hearing about the concept as a kid and it blew my mind, I simply had to have it, even if it meant downloading whatever "Steam" is (lol). Many years and shifts in music tastes later, I would still recommend Audiosurf to anyone who loves music, not necessarily just gamers. Infinite replayability, leaderboards for almost any song you can think of, and a very smooth, clean presentation all come together to form an absolute steal for rhythm game/music fans
