Others may deserve to play this game and keep playing it, but I am not so sure about that personally. For those that do, here is how to make it Easy Mode and potentially more palatable for you: 1. Never ever use Game Type matchmaking. Only the Server Browser. 2. The Server Browser has a Ping Limit filter of 200ms by default. You must clear this manually by setting it to All and Applying to be able to load the true full list of servers in-game. 3. Gameplay settings. Turn off Enable Reload When Check Ammo is Low to avoid a forced retention reload on MG belts and more if they are low, but not empty. Also enable Advanced Flight Model here. 4. Player View & HUD settings. Set a wide FOV to Display Teammate Names to be able to see them more often, and not have as many friendly fire incidents. Also turn off Display Friendly Team as Blue and Enemy as Red, and Turn On Enable Developer Console here. 5. Video Settings. Turn off Depth of Field to see clearly no matter your sightlines. You will need this to be Off to pixel hunt. Also, Instanced Rendering can be disabled to preference; I prefer it to be Off. Authentic Postprocessing is Unfiltered map lighting, and more colorful than it was in Red Orchestra 2. Enhanced is more like documentary footage; washed out, and heavy on greens, blues, and brown-oranges. 6. Learn how to prime your grenades with the mouse. Manually select grenades with Number Keys to equip. LMB Overhand, Scroll Wheel Click Underhand. After holding to prime a throw, tap the other bind to pop the safety and cook as a South team member. That is all. Good bye.

RS2V is absolutely the most perfect tactical FPS shooter, it isn't too arcade but also isn't too hardcore or realistic. It has the perfect balance of accessible realism by incorporating fast-paced and engaging gameplay with full of actions, unlike Hell Let Loose where 80% of gameplay is just walking. Also if you're a war history enthusiast especially for Vietnam War, this game is a must-play. Pros: -They removed the weapons levelling up features from RO2/RS1, which is good because it's not fair for a new players where they will get killed by some overpowered guns. -Fun weapons and explosive to use, such as flamethrowers, punji & tripwire trap, C4, and many more. -More factions that are rarely gets the representation in most of Vietnam War games/movies. Such as ARVN, Australian Army, and PAVN. -Customisations that are fit to the timelines of war. -Variants of great custom maps. Cons: -Several issues that hasn't been fixed yet. Like the broken VOIP and other players can't hear your voice, "Push-up" bug where you keeps Standing and proning repeatedly by itself, and invisible fire from molotov or napalm. -A notorious MEGA server which contains virus/malware is still in the game, TWI is trying so hard to removing them but it keeps returning. -Terrible voice acting: Some of North Vietnamese soldiers speaks slowly like a robot, the Australian voice are overexaggerated and stereotypical, failed to mimicking the old accent and becomes funny, white American character was voiced by a middle-aged man which doesn't fit for some 20 years old conscript. It may sounds nitpicking but it actually ruined the immersion and atmosphere. Glad they hired some better voice actors for ARVN soldiers which sounds louder and more intimidating. Even thought there are several issues, it's still a great game. So sad that TWI abandoned this game, it would be the most perfect Vietnam War game if they were still doing the update like add a Republic of Korea faction, expand the location to Laos and Cambodia so there will be Pathet Lao, RLA, FARK, and Khmer Rouge, and more weapons (MG-34, PPS-43, MAS-36, M72 LAW, or RPG-2).

A perfect midpoint between CS2 and Squad. Actually playable shooter where guns work like they should.
