The combat is often chaotic and unforgiving, with limited depth in terms of mechanics. Despite this, once you get the rhythm of it, there’s a certain visceral satisfaction in clearing rooms full of enemies in near infinite bullet time. However, the lack of varied combat mechanics and overly simplistic weapon systems make the gameplay feel shallow pretty quickly. 🌄 Graphics ✅ Beautiful 🔲 Good 🔲 Decent 🔲 Bad 🔲 Paint.exe Visually, Ruiner excels. The game’s neon-soaked, cyberpunk world is stunning, with highly stylized environments that are both grim and electrifying. The character designs are sleek, and the color palette of dark blues, reds, and purples creates a moody, futuristic vibe that fits the narrative perfectly. The visuals do a great job of immersing you in a dystopian city, and they make every moment feel tense and dynamic. 🎵 Audio 🔲 Eargasm ✅ Amazing 🔲 Good 🔲 Not too Bad 🔲 Bad The soundtrack is easily one of Ruiner's best features. The story’s pacing feels uneven, and the character motivations can sometimes feel a bit hollow. The minimal storytelling is wrapped up in intriguing world-building and fragmented plot points, but it lacks emotional depth or meaningful character arcs. 🛡️ Difficulty 🔲 Difficult 🔲 Easy to Learn / Hard to Master ✅ Average 🔲 Easy 🔲 Just press "A" Ruiner strikes a decent balance in difficulty. The game starts off relatively easy but ramps up quickly with increasingly challenging enemies and bosses. It’s a game that demands precision and quick reflexes, but without a deeper combat system to justify the difficulty spikes, it sometimes feels more of a routine than a challenge. 🔁 Replay-ability 🔲 Infinitely replay-able 🔲 Many Times 🔲 A few times 🔲 Maybe Once ✅ No replay value The game does offer replayability in terms of challenge, with the intense action and tougher enemies calling you back for another run. The story is relatively basic and can get overshadowed by the chaotic gameplay. 👎 Weak Points: Combat becomes monotonous without enough new mechanics to keep it fresh. The narrative, while atmospheric, doesn't offer a lot of depth or emotional investment. The lack of strong progression in combat mechanics can lead to burnout. Boss fights and enemy variety can feel repetitive. TL;DR: Ruiner shines with its stunning cyberpunk world and high-energy soundtrack, creating an immersive, atmospheric experience. However, the combat lacks depth, becoming repetitive over time, which holds it back from being a truly great action game. This is one of those games that will age slowly for two reasons: art direction and music. Gameplay will have its followers, as well as those who’ll say they’ve seen it all before. However, what’s undeniable is that the game has a strong magnetism from the very first few minutes, thanks to the atmosphere it creates. Other than that there is a story but simply just go out there and massacre your enemies as you please. Woof!

RUINER is a stylish and brutally fast-paced cyberpunk action game that excels in atmosphere and combat but falls short in storytelling and variety. It’s a game that delivers intense, adrenaline-fueled action wrapped in a visually striking world, but it sometimes struggles to maintain depth beyond its aesthetic. The biggest strength of RUINER is its presentation. The neon-drenched cyberpunk cityscapes, glitchy UI effects, and pounding synthwave soundtrack create an incredible sense of style and immersion. Every frame of the game feels like a cyberpunk fever dream, with sharp, angular designs and a haunting, dystopian atmosphere that pulls you in immediately. The combat is another highlight. It’s fast, brutal, and satisfying, rewarding quick reflexes and tactical thinking. The mix of melee and ranged weapons, along with abilities like dashes and shields, keeps encounters exciting and fluid. The game makes you feel powerful, but never invincible, as enemies hit hard and require careful positioning and strategy to defeat. Boss fights, in particular, are intense and well-designed, pushing you to master the game’s mechanics. However, RUINER has its drawbacks. The story is minimalistic and doesn’t feel as engaging as the world it’s set in. While the themes of corporate oppression and cybernetic augmentation are intriguing, the narrative doesn’t develop enough to make you truly invested in your silent protagonist’s journey. The game also leans heavily on its cyberpunk aesthetic without offering much depth in world-building. Another issue is the repetition. While combat is fun, the enemy encounters start to blend together after a while, and mission objectives don’t offer much variety beyond “kill everything in the room.” The game’s length is fairly short, which helps prevent fatigue, but it still could have used more diversity in gameplay. Overall, RUINER is a visually stunning and mechanically satisfying game that thrives on its cyberpunk atmosphere and intense action but falls short in narrative depth and variety. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, stylish action game with an amazing soundtrack, it’s worth playing—but don’t expect it to redefine the genre.
