As of right now its fairly empty and doesnt run exceptionally well, however they are open and transparent about issues and have already shown work towards improving the quality of the game. Is it a 10/10 right now, no. More of a 4/10, its a good start, just let them do their thing and check back in a month or two, but disliking it into oblivion isnt going to help anybody, its $20, not $60 so dont expect $60 worth of content right off the bat. I can see the vision, it will be a 10/10, its just gonna take some time.

Roblox Killer People in the reviews got the game for free, but I paid for it xD It's a good concept, but they should improve the optimization and PC resource usage so that the computer doesn't rev up to crazy speeds just to load the main menu *Roblox got its start between 2004 and 2006, and it took 15 to 20 years for it to become what it is today—all thanks to the billions in donations from kids, drawn in by its bright, eye-catching colors and graphics. *s&box players also need to believe in the project and contribute both ideas and advice. s&box needs to improve optimization and so on with every single update.

Rome wasn't built in a day, this game wasn't meant to be huge at launch. Everyone complains about the issues this game has and the rather embarassing playercount at launch but refuse to realize how impressive the potential is for this game. Now that this game has finally launched, developers can actually start becoming more serious with making games which in turn will attract more players. This happened with Roblox, they didn't start with millions of active players. The game launched underwelmingly and gradually grew as more higher quality games were being made and more updates to the engine/game itself started to arise. The same will happen with S&box. Facepunch knows exactly what they are doing and this game will probably be the next big thing especially after it becomes free to play and the game becomes more polished.

I paid $20 for this so I'm not biased. It's genuinely really good. I haven't noticed many performance issues, most gamemodes work fine, the few that have had issues are very much on the developer of that mode, and not the game itself. The actual modes are surprisingly good too, I was expecting AI slop and low effort stuff (of which there is) but there's actually a large amount of well crafted stuff here too. Just for example there's a COD zombies clone with a unique cartoon artstyle that's really well made (Ghoul Grounds), a plane arena game (Minifly) that's surprisingly addictive, a physics based combat dungeon-crawler (Dark Descent) and a few others I'll leave down below. My point being yes there is low effort AI slop here, but there's a lot of really cool stuff too. For $20, I think it's pretty worth it, you're essentially getting a bunch of indie games bundled together, and your library will only keep expanding. They're not the best games ever of course, but they're good fun. To me this is a great game for those days when work has tired you out and you're not sure what you want to play, I felt like that today and this game just hit the perfect spot. That being said, this is the type of game that lives or dies by it's community, if it's not popular enough talented developers probably won't waste time making cool stuff for it, so the future is very unknown, but as I said as it stands right now I think it's in a good place. Other cool gamemodes: Strike Force Shoothouse Blocks & Bullets Creepy Donner: Night Shift Terry's Granny S&Coin RagRoll Skater Jumpy Cut Them Down

It seems most people believe that this game will bring on a new era in PC gaming or at least hope so. Whether true or not, I don't know, but I do hope it can live up to some of the hype surrounding it. It would be great to see a worthy successor to Gmod and even better to have a community driven sandbox game that can beat out Roblox for good. This game is in many ways similar to Gmod, but the experience will still feel different. S&box is not a straight up conversion and a lot of the gamemodes you love to play in Gmod, is not gonna be available to play now on release, but they will surely all come with time. S&box feels a bit empty now, since the community hasn't had much time to grow yet and therefore there aren't that many good gamemodes to choose from, but that should hopefully improve over time. A lot of the content currently available is also smaller gamemodes which won't really keep it alive for long, so what this game really needs is one or two good big gamemodes to really kick start it. S&box definitely offers the tools to become so much more than Gmod ever did, the question is if the community and developers shape it in the "right" direction or if it ends up just becoming a large pile of botted slop just made to earn “play funds”, time will tell. I'm sure I'll be revisiting this game a lot in the future though and I'll most likely also end up having to update this review in a years time. I don't see why I wouldn't recommend getting it, it doesn't ask a high price, for essentially ‘unlimited’ games and I think it is a gamble worth taking, but if you are short on cash, there also isn't anything wrong with waiting it out ————————————————————————————— [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45534557/]Help me out by following my Curator, I’d really appreciate it!!
