This game is a steal! I've already lost a couple of afternoons to it and expect to lose many more. The Good: - The art style is simple in the best way--it has some personality, but isn't so detailed that you worry too much about whether an item is going to work the way you want it to. - Items are incredibly customizable. You can change everything from the color to the shape. There's even a tool to create custom furniture, if that's your jam. - The Steam community is full of folks who love to make cool furniture that you don't want to make yourself. You can upload it to your game! - Updates are frequent and meaningful. - It's cheap !!!!!!!!! The Not-So-Good: - I hate panning around the room and adjusting my perspective. I can never reliably get to the angle or level of zoom that I'm looking for. I often end up behind walls that I didn't want to pass or in a totally different part of the room when all I wanted to do was zoom in a tiiiiiiiny bit. Panning rarely gets me where I want to go if I'm trying to center on places that are not in the center of the room map (even if I turn off the locked perspective). - Some functions that are common in other design/building games, like undo action and ctrl + click to select multiple items, are missing (or do not consistently give the desired outcome) here. It would be a massive QOL improvement to add these features in--right now, it seems like an oversight to leave them out. To be fair, there is an undo tool, but it is specific to undoing object removal (and does not apply to objects picked up and removed by clicking outside of the room bounds). Again, this game ROCKS, especially at the current price! Get it. Go totally overboard transforming a moving truck into the tiniest living space imaginable. You deserve it.
This is one of those games where you load it up to spend a few minutes on a design, then realise that an entire hour has gone past. It has a simple premise: decorate different dioramas using furniture and items, and you'll probably begin by creating nice but very basic rooms. Then something clicks in your brain and you're like "Oh wait...I can create anything I want in this game." The only limit seems to be your imagination and your patience. Especially when you start playing around with the custom furniture maker, which allows you to make all manner of things. Yes, you can stick to simply decorating bedrooms, boats and gardens, and it's a lovely, relaxing way to pass the time. But if you really want to go all in and make colossal cityscapes, maximalist hotels, or the most bizarre buildings you can imagine, then you can do it. It's not a perfect game; the camera is tricky to get to grips with when you first start out, and sometimes things just don't line up or position the way you want them to. But the game as a whole is so good that you'll quickly overlook these. If you like interior design, building, or creative games in general, then I can't recommend this enough. And with more and more updates coming out, I can't wait to see where this game goes in the future.
WOW what a cute game. (I apologize for cons first, going to be very real, it doesn't sway me from obsessing about this game <3 ) Cons. Tutorial is... something... and the main "quest" is a little underworked... I was hoping to gain items as you do more missions, and you do! but it's not a whole lot (yet) not a huge loss. Just a lil funky. The lighting... the lighting really needs to change. Currently it is just a glowing 'ring' around a lamp, candle etc that does not actually fill the room with light. You can get around it currently by colouring the room in shades but it can be pretty difficult sometimes. The object menu / tools is a little jank, I feel there's missing functions there but again not a huge loss. (I might be a little tough on it) Small things like cnt z isnt a clear undo, but an object undo - so if you move something you have to move it back. No control binding (yet). Pros This game is... so much fun. Endless hours of designing houses, little rooms, areas, aesthetics, colors. AND... it has a workshop. So if you can't find an item... bet you that someone has made it in the "custom item" workshop in steam. The fact you can even CUSTOM make items WITHIN the game is outstanding. Most of the blocks you run into can immediately be remedied by placing another item / upsizing or downsizing. Something I would love to see <3 - A slightly broader range of lighting teqchniques. Some basic lighting shaders? It is a ltitle frustrating designing a dark room and you can't actually light up the room with an overhead light. Maybe something to change settings with lighting, what type, how big, range, falloff. - Some new walls or rooms? It would be awesome to design an entire house. This game is SUPER cute. For those who love to interior design I HIGHLY recommend. <3 <3 <3 Good luck devs!
A fun game and tool all in one! Admittedly, it was a bit of a learning curve for me but after some time and patience, this game becomes a very helpful creative outlet. Shout to the dev for not only making this game/tool, but for also providing the game dev community free accessible assets to use. Saw a negative review here that said they used gen AI due to a misunderstanding of the "generate idea" feature— that's not true. The dev is very much against generative AI and is loud about it on their Bsky account! Another plus for me as a creative.
