Very interesting and fun game to play. I've used it to make D&D characters, pamphlets, tarot cards, medieval manuscripts, etc. The community and is very supportive too (Discord Server) and help out with ideas and designs. It looks only like a drawing tool but it is really entertaining and engaging. I've only spent 44 hours on it thus far and plan to pour more in the future. Happy Scribing to all!!
I bought this game thinking I'd play for 30 minutes, just for starters, to get the gist of it. Eight hours later, I have opinions about parchment quality, a suspicious emotinal attachment to all of my works, and the growing realization that I may have been born 700 - 800 years too late. What suprised me the most is how relaxing the game is, while still being absurdly addictive. No frantic chaos - just the empty manuscript parchment, me and my imagination going wild and vivid. After eight hours, I can say with honesty this game is well - written and yes, that pun was manuscripted in advance. The only thing this game needs is a warning label: "May cause chronic loss of track of time and unhealthy interest in Medieval stationery". Highly recommended!!!
I love this game. Only thing i would improve: I wish there were more quests for replicating art (either medieval or re-created by authors). It would help me learn more about the elements you use and how to put them together in new inventive ways and to create something similar to the illuminated manuscripts of old, not just my modern freestyle :D
I'm not very far into the game and have been experimenting with various pieces of the game and it's sandbox mode. The biggest issues are: Not being able to make multiple sandboxes Not being able to return to a sandbox after exporting it I want to use this to make things for DND characters and games, and with those games and characters evolving as time goes by I need to be able to return to a document and add more or change things as time goes by. This is something that absolutely MUST be added and I am unsure why something like being able to return to a drawing after the fact isn't already in the game as a base function.
