One of the best ways to describe Severed Steel is that it has great "game feel." It one of those games that knows what it is about and sticks to it. Something that only games can really do. Stylized violence in slow mo. You dive in and parkour your way thorough bullets while jamming out to the music. It's a game that I have become hopelessly addicted to and come back to frequently. Rogue Steel and community maps give it good replay value as well. Also the voice actor for the corpo troopers deserves an award for brilliantly over the top voice acting.

Got it for free on a certain store platform, then i bought again on steam to get soundtrack, the workshop level and also to support the dev...i'm not good at reviewing things, but i'll say this, the gameplay is awesome, i love the freedom of movement in this game and parkour movement is smooth..the gunplay and weapon animation is simple, theres not much animation feedback (modern fps weapons jiggling and all that) or recoil feedback, nothing fancy but get the jobs done.. The soundtrack is also a bangers, some of the tracks reminds me of ghost in the shell standalone soundtrack composed by yoko kanno, them cyberpunk is strong with this one..one of my reason to get the deluxe edition on steam.. that's it..i recommend..

I have confession to make. I'm really not good at FPS. Actually, I'm pretty terrible. I can't even call myself a "casual" FPS fan because my skill level is worse than that. I can't aim. I don't even like FPS that much. I almost never play FPS on anything other than easy. And if it has first person parkour, it's near impossible for me to have fun. This is still true with Severed Steel. But I'm so thankful that the dev thought of people like me and basically added god mode as the easiest difficulty, allow me to actually play the game with infinite bullet time which made me able to actually aim and parkour.

This game is worth a dime on sale, and I disagree with that. Hurricane pace, beautiful drawing. A huge number of different guns. Slightly stuffy achievements. There is no plot as such, but it is not needed. Just kill as many enemies as you can and have fun. And remember, the floor is lava

It's Mirror's Edge with fully destructible levels married with Superhot level structure and goals. It's great fun for 20-30 min per day. Don't play too much in one sitting, it will get stale.
