Not bad, expected it to follow Shadow Warrior 2's roots but that's okay I still liked the game anyway. It's a linear game and it's also short. The gameplay is similar to that of Doom Eternal with the grappling hook also a mechanic within the game. P.S I still really want to live in Lo Wang's cave.

Shadow Warrior 3 was a rough one for me. I could honestly sum it up as “we have Doom Eternal at home”. It really felt like the game was chasing trends instead of trying to improve its own formula. It comes off more like a shareholder decision rather than something driven by creativity or fun. That said, the platforming with the grappling hook actually felt pretty good. In some ways it even felt better than Doom and fit the world and movement style better. Don't get me wrong, the game is not bad, it's just extremely mid. After playing Shadow Warrior 2, I was honestly expecting something different. You can grab it for super cheap nowadays and at that price it is not a bad buy at all. Gameplay is fine overall, but it leans heavily into Doom style arena combat instead of the more open maps from the previous game. Weapon upgrades are much more linear this time, and you improve them using coins you find throughout the levels (many of them are hidden), which again feels very Doom inspired. Gunplay itself is solid, but compared to Shadow Warrior 2, the combat feels less varied and way less customizable. On the positive side, you can approach most combat arenas in different ways. You can use environmental hazards, pick the right weapons for certain enemies, and play a bit smarter instead of just shooting everything blindly. Enemy design is decent too, with different weaknesses, though some enemy types are honestly just annoying to deal with. Katana combat, which used to be a big part of the series, felt weak here. Even when using combos properly, it felt underpowered, especially on the highest difficulty. Story wise, the game feels more chill compared to Shadow Warrior 2, which is kind of funny considering the premise. Despite that, the story never really feels as epic as it should. Dialogue is better though, it feels more mature than before. There are still jokes, but they are less forced, which is a big improvement. The banter between Lo Wang, Motoko, and Hoji works better this time and is generally easier to listen to. Shadow Warrior 3 is not a bad game, and I can recommend picking it up on sale since it is often heavily discounted, but it felt like the weakest entry in the trilogy to me. It has some good ideas and solid combat, but it lost a lot of the identity and depth that made the previous games more memorable.

Shadow Warrior 3, the latest installment in the series, may not feel the same as the previous two games. The gameplay leans much more toward a DOOM-style arena shooter, and while the story can be underwhelming and the humor a bit exaggerated at times, none of that stopped it from being an absolute blast. Despite being the shortest entry in the series, the game felt like a blessing. The combat is fast, fluid, and incredibly satisfying—so much so that I had sessions where I didn’t even realize I needed to sleep. It’s pure, mindless fun in the best way possible. I ended up playing it as a way to relax after work, and it worked like a charm. Jump in, mow down enemies, keep moving, and don’t overthink anything. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, and Shadow Warrior 3 delivers it effortlessly. It may not win awards for story depth, but as a high-energy, stress-free shooter that knows exactly what it wants to be, it absolutely succeeds. Easy 9/10 — perfect for turning your brain off and having fun.

Finished a play through in 3.9 hours. Do I think it was worth playing? Yes. Would I have paid the full price for it? No. It plays pretty well, though, it is just arena - parkour - arena - parkour. Don't expect deep game play or systems, or a great story. I'd give it a solid 6.9 for a short game to play when you wanna fill some time. (I highly recommend Shadow Warrior 1 reboot though)

don't get the hate this game got. Although I am someone that did not like the direction that they went with Shadow Warrior 2, so I am quite glad they went back to what they did with Shadow Warrior 1. From the gameplay to the graphics style (amazing vistas) the game is such a treat, espacially with the funky soundtrack.
