Overall I really enjoyed this one! As it's a bit grindy I mostly played it to wind down before bed or when I can't sleep because I find it relaxing in it's simplicity. What I Liked: [*]It's casual and relaxing to play. [*]I enjoyed the art and bright colors. [*]Nothing was "trash" and you fix items that arrive broken. [*]The game doesn't really punish you for anything, and when there IS a consequence for something (missing a sticker on a box or not filling a rush order before time is up for example) it feels reasonable. [*]The devs updated the achievements to be a little easier to get / less grindy past the natural "end" time of unlocking everything else. [*]Anytime I've encountered a bug (like the infamous tie-mageddon) the devs have quickly addressed it. [*]I also love that they're still updating this one and have plans for adding more item types/businesses. This makes it more likely for me to return to the game to check these out now that I've 100%'d it. [*]I really liked the side bit of collecting all the collectible figures. I wish the devs had done this with some of the other collectible items too (plushies, trading cards, games, books, etc). I think this would've enhanced the game play a bit. The Annoying Bits: [*]Unlocking things in the game is the only progression you get. Once you've got everything unlocked, it feels more and more repetitive with nothing to work towards. [*]The cat (while cute) can be frustrating until you unlock it's pillow because of the limited workspace you have. [*]Sometimes packing the boxes feels like it doesn't logically make sense and you need a bigger box than you think you should because the items you are packing take up more real estate than you'd expect. [*]The physics on packing the boxes in the truck at the end of the day, while amusing, are definitely odd. Final Thoughts: Overall I do recommend this one for a nice little time waster or way to wind down, especially now that they've removed the requirement to play this game on hard mode for 100% achievements. The annoying bits really weren't that annoying for me personally, but I feel like they should be mentioned in case things like that might bother someone. :) For more reviews check out the Under Starry Skies curator page!
A cozy grind for multitaskers and serial podcast listeners
Ship, Inc. is one of those “just a bit more” games that sneaks up on you: simple, colorful, and oddly satisfying… until you realize Day 50 feels exactly like the Day 1 tutorial. I played entirely in hardcore mode, unlocked every upgrade, and snagged all the non-grindy achievements (43/48 total). So trust me, I’ve spent enough time in the warehouse to earn my packing license, even though I didn't reach that shiny 100% yet. The game looks great. It's bright, clean visuals with a fun art style and smooth mouse controls. The upgrade system adds a nice sense of progression, and I appreciated the little bits of humor (some of those bills made me giggle way more than they should’ve). I didn’t encounter any of the bugs others mentioned, likely thanks to the devs being very responsive. The good news is, Ship, Inc. tells you right away if it’s for you since the loop doesn’t really evolve, so you’ll know within the first hour whether to keep going or refund it. That’s also the main issue, though: there’s no real evolution. Once you’ve upgraded everything, the gameplay becomes pure repetition. No story, no consequences for choices (like selling stolen goods), and achievements that border on grindy nightmares. On hardcore, it’s stressful; on normal, it’s borderline sleepy. Great as a background task or podcast game, but not something you’ll get lost in. The cat is cute but more of a nuisance unless you buy its pillow, and the physics occasionally go haywire (looking at you, spasm-truck of boxes). Ship, Inc. is a solid little time-waster. It’s fun for a few hours, scratches that idle-sim itch, and works perfectly as a cozy “between big games” break. Just don’t expect it to keep you hooked for long or to evolve beyond its humble cardboard roots. Definitely only worth grabbing on sale. I really love this game. However, I learned the hard way that when selecting a game mode, you have to stick to your progress under that game mode. I selected "Chill" just to test it out at first and had a really good progress going. My goal was to buy the house eventually. I thought I already got the hang of it and I would like some pressure (thinking I could go back to my progress in Chill Mode). When I started a new game to get to the next level all my progress was gone. T_T I wish there was a way to play on all game modes with separate saves.

“Boring.” “Pointless.” “Repetitive.” - the words I kept seeing in some of the top reviews of this game. And it's not like they’re wrong… they just don’t get why that’s actually AMAZING. Yes, it is repetitive. No, it doesn’t have a deep plot or some big “you did it!” moment. But that’s like judging a cup of tea for not being an energy drink. What this game is actually meant for is winding down after the long day. Clicking on cheerful little deliveries. Smiling when adorable little menace named Limon (the cat) strolls in and casually steals your heart while also stealing boxes. This isn’t a grind, it’s a comfort loop. You know exactly what you’re getting, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. So if you’re here for a sense of achievement, drama or constant challenges - you’re gonna be disappointed. But if you want a cozy little serotonin factory that asks nothing from you except to click, smile, and vibe? You’re gonna love it. P. S. Not to be dramatic, but I’d happily go bankrupt buying treats for Limon. Please consider adding this option in the future. Thank you.
