Does this game have a few problematic elements? Yes. Does this game have bugs? Yes. Do you need the patience of a saint to get through this game? Oh god yes. Do I have personal issues with the game? YOU BET I DO! I have SO much to say about the jank, none of which can fit into this post. BUT (AND THIS IS A BIGGER BUT THAN THE FAT ONE I SIT ON) Is the game fun? While a subjective question, I like to think it is. I'd say it's on par with the entertainment you get from other builder and character creator games, all from what is likely a very small team (if not just one passionate dude). Do I think you should try it? Absolutely! Do I think the dev is being actively malicious? I've yet to be given a reason to think so, no. At this moment the dev has been open to the criticism and making changes as time goes by. THAT'S A GOOD THING! It is clear from that alone that the dev cares about this game, and that should be supported. We don't need to make fun of people who post legitimate concerns about the themes and mechanics of the game. And we don't need LARPers that only buy the game to be cringe-lords and only play 0.00001 hours of the game. This game has problems. I still recommend it, because I'm still having fun with it. I want the dev to improve, but that won't happen with yes-men and larpers. On that note, FIX THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DEMON SCREAMER JUMPSCARES! The game's world may be set in 2006, but us living breathing people ain't! I'm almost 30, and my hearing's only getting worse! EDIT: To anybody who's saying the tattoo that was removed wasn't a star of david but the star of "who cares": Log off of X(twitter) and stop sucking up to AI slop misinformation. Stop lying to people with your antisemitic conspiracy theories. We don't need your BS. Also Free Palestine.

To start off with anyone calling this game antisemitic is just objectively wrong. "The star of David tattoo gives 10+ greed" it's Star Of Remphan. It's a satire on anything evil hence the name of the game SINNER MAKER! SO THAT INCLUDES RELIGIOUS EXTREMISTS! I also shouldn't have to say this to grown adults but please don't go around falsely calling someone a Nazi it could permanently tarnish a reputation or effect their wellbeing if it causes any form of mob or vigilantly "justice" under a false accusation. I also don't understand why Zionists have to cry about it when other extremists in other religious are picked at as well in this game. Anyway the game is very good just needs some patches here and there. I don't get what people expect when buying a early access game (Made by a one person dev team btw) it's gonna have bugs and everyone complaining about crashes check your hardware because me and many others have been fine. I'd like to add some context to all the misinformation (notice how the comments are turned off on 90% of bad reviews? cus they know they're lying): First off the "star of david" was removed. Secondly every religion's extremists is picked on in this game, it's literally the gimmick of the game you appease a god every day or he punishes the whole village and you have to make him happy by any means necessary idiots devolving it to "you're a nazi" or "edgy haha" is disingenuous. Thirdly as some said it's set in the early 2000's if they were on the internet back then it was a wild west in terms of humour and what was on there if they actually played the game instead of being posers they'd know the Sinners interacting with each other sometimes make edgy jokes. Why you ask? because they're Sinners the game is a satire on sh#tty people and world views so if some people actually played the game before reviewing they'd know certain tattoos (nazi related ones for example) increase the wrath stat and make it more likely they drop wrath orbs at sermons but make it more likely they'll kill someone. You're managing bad people and the game is you figuring out how to make them useful to the village it doesn't glorify them what so ever.

I really love and enjoy this game and note that its only in early access and i have some notes i’ve noticed while playing. Notes: - This game is a bit hard to understand what to do at first - more as in (e.g. cooking, building second floors, upgrading the church, the goal you are trying to achieve) - maybe more angel question options could help? - demons are a litttlleee obvious i think it would be cool if you had impersonator demons that pretended to be someone in your village already ( or just like the people in general ) - you could make something semi wrong with them (letting you look at them and only these sorts of demons) and if you let them in the demon is revealed and they curse - kind of like an anomaly game - After feeding someone striking and they get automatically put back to work i find that God HATES it regardless which i don’t know if that purposeful because im unsure how to prevent that - I dont find that the eye up option has much use i dont know if its meant to be funtional Bugs I’ve noticed: - When you suggest someone to talk to someone else while they are in a house, it creates like a chat bubble above the house that i found doesn’t go away for a long time - Each time you load the game up, all trading stalls are set to vegetable which can be hard to remember to change - Randomly the sinners will glitch across the map - I find that even if i feed all of the villagers there will be many extremely hungry after a time skip which i think might be a glitch - After i have the max number of sinners i find I have repeating sinners knocking at my door (people i already have, my customs, or the same person i don’t have) - i think it would be better to remove the option to let them in or have no new knockers - Sometimes after talking to someone it will start talking to them every time i press a key until i enter and exit build mode - I find the cooking stuff really confusing and never really working im lucky if i get an output - maybe a progress bar could help? or only having one list at a time as im not sure if it has to be in a specific order or not - or maybe having a set amount of things you can do at once and it caps at that (all things that will be produced in one session and then it resets) - the -20 option that god gives only does -10 i think that was a typo Add: - I like how the question marks are replaced for foods depending on how they feel. maybe for foods that “help” it could be replaced with a ‘-‘ or some other neutral which would make it easier to remember what - Being able to see who is in a house (or even if someone is in a house) would be useful - maybe adding a bubble and person icon above the house semi-like tomidachi life - Maybe add a purpose for put own character sleeping it is the same as a time skip so i normally remove myself from a house without consequence which is fine - Maybe a bit more interaction between people without our help - or like passively/randomly going up and down in the background as relationships and drama is really rare i’ve found - Keeping track of relationships is hard so maybe to the bill board (or an app on the phone) you could view the relationships between people and also how they feel towards you - maybe click on an icon of them and it will coms up (like clicking on them normally) - being able to move the camera would be pretty helpful for building - also being able to customise your own tattoos would be good too

Although it is in early access, the game has massive potential. It has elements of "Tomodachi Life", "Animal Crossing", and "No, I'm Not a Human". As weird as that sounds it plays amazingly and makes sense too. There is still tons of room for progress but it makes up for what it lacks with the character customization and various traits. This game easily has some of the best customization I have ever seen, and learning how to make custom parts is super easy. Try it out if you're thinking about it, you'll make your money back in the time you spend playing the game and creating sinners.

I would not recommend for you to buy this game if you want to play It (because this version on steam is the same as the version on itch.io which is free). I would recommend for you to buy this game only if you want to support the dev. This game is very barebones so far and after two hours i'd say that i've seen about everything, but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it! It is a very charming little game that I would love to see what It will offer in the future👶👍.
