Although SART is old, it still holds up today, and some consider it the best kart racer out there (especially for us PC players). This game is amazing, and I recommend it for every player, whether you are a sweat or a casual, a Sonic fan or not, or in a party or solo. Pros: - Fun, natural-feeling mechanics - A weird but varied roster - Graphics that hold up well today - Varied gameplay via the transform gimmick (peak) - Low skill floor but high skill ceiling The PC port is the definitive way to play, with the most characters and the most active community (in 2026, I can still find a half to full lobby at peak times). Cons: - Ability pick-ups aren't varied or fun enough - Little to no modding available - Expert mode AI is frustrating and RNG-based rather than competetively challenging - The game won't initially run upon purchase and will require troubleshooting (easy fix) - The screen randomly flashes white mid-race (although this may just be on my end) Overall, I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants to try out a kart racer. Side note: The collection edition comes with every DLC except for YogsCast, which honestly is a skip anyways, so it is a great deal, especially on sale.
