It's a great sandbox that scratches that one itch in my brain of becoming the ultimate murderhobo that my DND DM doesn't allow me to become, has a lot of freedom and mechanics for the player to learn and use, i highly recommend if you like the idea of constantly slaying things and becoming stronger each time. Also the dev is a genuinely great person and he deserves all the love and support he can receive

Based Dev, Game is good, bought it strictly to support the person behind it it's like Dwarf Fortress RPG mode simplfied and made for a sane human being, love the idea and the bloodlines mechanics it fits the Dark Fantasy gamemode, try it you would be suprised how much you can do in that game, it's Elin for people who don't like JRPG visual style, personally I can recommend this game. 8/10

I love this game. It feels like Dwarf Fortress and Kenshi. Playing a character who can die at any moment when adventuring while trying to carve out my legacy is a lot of fun. Even if my character dies before I can have a family, I can still start another character in the same world. This rogue-like sandbox is really dope. I just now finally figured out how to make a settlement and invite people to it. They bring their whole families. I went on an epic quest for a diamond and crafted a metal bra for a female dwarf I was trying to marry. I came back to present her with the findings and when she got to my settlement I found out she had low fertility......So now I have to stay at my settlement more often then not till she starts baking an heir for me. I heard you can play as one of your children if you pass but I don't know yet if they have to make it to adult hood before you kick the bucket in order for you to take over playing as them. I now run a tavern at my settlement and will probably simulate a few years of life working there so I can make heirs. It is a great game. You can learn from a long list of skills. Having so many skills you can learn really lets you customize your character to create a truly unique one. A word of advice, the desert and jungle seem to be harder biomes to do POI's in. They have tougher mobs. Keep your head on a swivel. Use your abilities and any advantages the game gives you. Like finding one time use super poisons you can use with your weapon or throwing a net on a mob as a form of crowd control or a way to escape. You can also hire companions. Just a super great game.

The scope of the game feels amazing. It comes closer to any other "sandbox rpg" game I've ever played. The only things holding it back from being one of the best of all time are seemingly so minuscule that it honestly hurts. The sea "travel" is as bare bones as it gets. "Talk to guy. Guy teleports you. The end" No port settlements for trade, no industry, no anything. Which is such a wasted opportunity. That feeling of apprehension, and curiosity from sailing on the open ocean is completely lost, and makes such a dynamic world feel flat. I can't understate the immersion breaking feeling of finding a brick wall where a wonderful adventure should be. That and some minor art choices like for example the characters being represented as tokens. It clashes so much with the rest of the aesthetic that its almost unbearable, and I am by no means a graphics snob, but some simple changes could go along way. This would let you do away with a lot of pointless dialogue, it would save in game time searching, and decrease new and old player frustration so they can enjoy this amazing game. For example (That guy looks like a "Enter profession here" Then he probably is" By bringing the art of the characters in line with the art of the world around them you fix these issues. It would also match more seamlessly with the beautiful pixel/2d art for all the other items in the game. Even a basic 2d bordless or pixel art representation of the characters would be better than the paper cut out that looks like it came from a mid-tier TTRPG. You even already have reference assets to do this. The PC and NPC cut outs themselves. Not to mention that putting that bit of effort into aesthetic design opens the gates for modders and other creatives free reign to polish it for the community if they're willing. Which they might be seeing as this is a niche game with a modding scene already in its' infancy that is just waiting for more content to let their creativity out. Or crowd source it with some general guidlines. HELL ILL EVEN HELP

While the refrain from hand-holding is appreciated, there should at least be some very basic pointers in the beginning, as otherwise it's quite difficult to orient yourself at all, when you don't know where you are and what you can do. After purchase, I played it for 30 minutes or so, died and lost interest. And I would imagine it's at that point that some players would never come back or even refund. Luckily, I picked the game back up a month or so later to try again and then randomly chose the pickaxe as one of my starting equipment which is when it clicked. I began to just sell stone to be able to afford food, which bought me time to get more familiar with the game, allowing for an organic learning experience and then it was smooth sailing from there. After 127 hours I can confidently say that the game is hella fun. Even after having explored every nook and cranny of the map, the game doesn't stop – it just becomes some sort of meta game where adventuring gives way to settlement management. Quite the unique overall concept, fun combat, addictive crafting and what's most impressive is how well-made, complex and at the same time performant the simulation is, whether or not the player character is contributing. Definitely worth a recommendation.
