A very nice and different sequel which has better aspects than Bomber Crew but also some flaws. What they did well: -Because the ship has 8 different seats but only 5 crew members (on default), teamwork is key to survive while making the game more tactical. -They did a good job implementing the space setting -The main missions objectives and even the optional objectives during a mission are way more epic and fun than in Bomber Crew without putting any spoilers. -The side campaign is again difficult but this time difficult in a more fun and challenging way. What sucks: -When you got most of big upgrades, your almost immortal and you reach this halfway of the game if you are a little bit careful with the mission selection... even on the highest difficulty. So the endgame is very boring. -The hyperjump and the enemy elite pilots are incredibly annoying. -This time your ship is more valuable than your crew especially because the evacuation is this time very expensive. So I didn't cared to save atleast my crew if the odds were low to not fail.

At first, Space Crew did not captivate me nearly as well as Bomber Crew did. Bomber Crew stood out to me due my affinity for military history and the bombardier gameplay elements. But, I can safely say that Space Crew has since earned my affection. The gameplay can get chaotic during the heat of battle, but you feel perfectly within your limits so long as you keep your ship routinely upgraded and your crew progressing their skills. I've yet to finish Android Ambush, but it is on my list of things to experience on the long road to earning every achievement. Buy it on sale, or pay in full if you can afford it and you want to support the devs and the publisher.

Ages ago, I played the demo of Space Crew, and resolved never to buy the game. I did not like the way I had to personally tag enemy craft for my crew to shoot at them (as otherwise they would happily stare out the window at the ship shooting at them without returning fire); I did not like the way I couldn't ever recruit enough crew to fill the ship; I did not like the way the time-slow mechanic (which was your means of dealing with the overwhelming juggling of everything all the time all at once) was a limited resource. A friend raved about the game again, and it had been so long that I had forgotten mostly about it, other than a vauge sense of 'this is familiar.' I raised those concerns, and my friend promised me they'd been addressed; and they have been! Now you can set a difficulty option to have enemy craft automatically tagged, or automatically tagged but only if a crew member is in the right seat; you can recruit an extra gunner (which does not actually fill the ship up entirely, but leaves you with only one seat to juggle), and you can make the slow-mo mode unlimited. So yes, I would recommend Space Crew: Legendary Edition, when it's on a nice sale.
