I have finished this with all heroes and all difficulties and it stuck with me. I really loved playing it. What I wish was that it didn’t go dormant and that it was updated with new classes, weapons etc. It’s a massively easy game to learn, but it’s not easy to master

Fun little game, it could have some updates, fixing some stuff, making some parts/perks more usable. But this game can give some funny hour.

I really like this game. I have cancer it affects my hands so I can't play the games I once could. This one is really cute. If you like simple rouge lite games that have some complexity you should grab this one.

The Good In the same vein as a slot machine, Spin Hero is a game that can be hypnotizing to play. Once you get the hang of things you can blitz through runs in 20 minutes, playing the game in a fugue state as you watch the images flicker past and enemies' health drop to 0. Luckily, with the strategy in the game coming almost entirely from how you build your character, there are a decent variety of builds and ways to put them together. Each build also feels different in how you construct it and how it plays out (even if you're just hitting "Spin"). The Bad Unlike Luck Be a Landlord, where removals were rare and the best combos were based off of generating items and consuming them, Spin Hero is way more static. You get 20 slots on your reel and will pretty much never go above 20 items, meaning every turn is near identical. The enemies also have none of the variety of the Slay the Spire. Even though there's not much you can do on your turn it's disappointing to see how all of them (including bosses) just do damage and deal one of the same few status effects. Conclusion While you're better off playing Slay the Spire or Luck Be a Landlord if you haven't already, Spin Hero is not a bad choice if you're looking for a new roguelike to try. Just don't expect a game with a ton of depth and strategy.

It's a cool idea and fun for a few runs, but overall, very shallow compared to others in the genre. There is not very much build variety and very little room for creativity in builds. The items that are meant to synergize are very obvious, so there is nothing crazy and unexpected you can do. Axes go with axes, magic goes with magic, etc. After a few runs the rewarding feeling of putting a build together wears off. There is very little meta-progression. You unlock a few extra perks for each character, none of which impact the game very much. 3x gold for defeating elites? Wow, who cares. If this is your first roguelite deckbuilder it's worth it, for people who own Balatro, just go play that.
