Recommended but the first hour/hour and a half is a bit rough. Don't do like 99% of people and skip the explanations, as it will only make the experience frustrating. Proper tutorial would help! After you get the mechanics, the game is very interesting as it allows to try loads of different strategies.

One of the few (only?) games with AI art that actually seems charming, consistent, AND well designed from a gameplay perspective. A lot of the game design/ progression bugs mentioned in older negative comments also seem to have been addressed (e.g. early progression is not locked behind beating the tier-1 dungeon, rng seems less of a factor than many other titles so far). Things could of course be better. The initial gameplay is a bit confusing, and the approach to handle it (via a tutorial set of screens) is not very polished. There's not much of a story, and the bit of flavor that's there has the expected translation clunkiness. But, it's less than 4$ title after discounts where I'm at, and made by a solo dev. It's fun for a few hours at the very least, and like with any good low cost indie, you're definitely getting a lot more than your money's worth.

Soooo yeah a solo dev made one of the best (if not the best) autobattler roguelikes. Polished, super fun, addictive. If this is even remotely interesting for you buy it.

It's a fantastically easy to understand, fun and addictive game. The art looks unique, but is great. It is done with AI, but it's by no means "AI slop" and is quiet to my liking. The music is amazing, especially the ones in portals. I do however have a few issues and wishes: - Some lvl3 and lvl4 creatures have better effects and value compared to lvl5 creatures. lvl5 often feel just like high attack brutes. - Same issue with some lvl4 and lvl5 support cards, where the value is just lost on me. Needs some buffing or balancing. - Like with many rogue likes, i'd like to loop early levels or have extended options to just... play longer in one go. - I feel like there should be more options to heal, be it trough life point drops of defeated monsters or other means.

Why is no one talking about this game? Its very easy to get into and as a Rogue-like, its similar in style to Slay The Spire but I would say that the card based action is quicker and easier to pick up. You have options throughout the game to upgrade/ fuse cards to make a stronger better deck. Plus throughout the game/ round you have the option to change your attack style depending on what you pick up. At the end of the dungeon (if you make it through - took me three attempts to beat it the first time) you get the chance to upgrade runes, head back to the village to stock up on passive items to help buff your next adventure - great fun! EDIT: After playing for 8 hours straight I LOVE THIS GAME - great job developers, its an awesome game with loads of play through potential and the Cataclysm events give it an extra tougher edge with leader boards among all players. Again this is a game definitely worth playing and for the price is excellent value for money!
