Cute game! Not much like Stardew, despite what others have been saying, aside from the graphics and "befriend the village" aspects. Overall this is a fun little game for when I am watching something in the background, as certain aspects tend to be a little grind-y (like running the bathhouse). My chief complaint is the time-stamina mechanic. If I still have the vast majority of my stamina left prior to being "very tired", there is no reason that I should be passing out before I reach home. I totally get that you want to have the game respect the fact that we as humans have stamina while the spirits do not, but it is extremely annoying to deal with. My suggestion would be to only have the stamina go down quickly when stamina would normally be consumed otherwise (like running) and when walking or doing nothing, have stamina go down the same speed as running typically causes.. I would also LOVE a garden aspect to this game!! That's the only thing I miss from other management-type games like Stardew. Loved the nod to Eric, btw! I am sure he would love it as well!

Looking for a new cozy game to soothe your aching soul? Inspired by Stardew Valley and Spirited Away, Spirittea has me logging 30 hours just days after purchase. Much like the iconic and beloved Stardew Valley, the game begins with a move to a remote village. However, this town is plagued by lost, forgotten spirits causing mischief ranging from petty vandalism to kidnapping babies. It's your job to get the old bathhouse up and running again so they can rest their weary... spirits π But it's not as simple as it sounds. Not everyone is happy to take a bath together, and if you make a mistake, you'll find yourself scrubbing someone's back or in the kitchen cooking complimentary meals just to keep your guests happy. You're joined by Wonyan, a cat spirit with an attitude levitating on a coin. You and Wonyan will help a full roster of locals solve their less than scientific mysteries, and remind the spirits plaguing them of how they should behave. Now, at $19.99, this game has a very indie feel to it with some very indie quirks. The controls and interface have a bit of a learning curve, and a lot of aspects aren't very well explained. I recommend this game for people looking for something to add a bit of variety and challenge to their library, although it isn't going to have you pounding your fist on the keyboard or anything. You're going to want a controller if you don't have at least some degree of skill in touch typing. Fortunately, the game is available on Xbox and Switch as well as Steam, so you have options. Overall, I'm really enjoying it, and I think a lot of others will too. The artwork is beautiful, the concept is solid, and it has me literally pausing it to write this recommendation. I hope to see more updates for it in the future.

This game has a special place in my heart. It just makes me so happy to play it! I love the characters, the town, the hiking paths and waterfall on the mountain, and most of all, the beautiful bath house. Learning about the townspeople's and spirits' preferences and traits was so much fun. It's a challenge to remember which spirits correspond to which seasons, but it's a fantastic exercise in memory. I love the collections pages as well, where you can see all the bugs and fish you've caught and all of the maps and figurines you've collected over the course of the entire game.

It's coming up to this games 1 year anniversary so i figured i should share my thoughts on it I have 28 hours on record of this game & I am still yet to finish it. Whilst I don't doubt that that is largely due to my own incompetence, it does show that this game has genuinely a lot to offer. Its so refreshing to have a cosy game that isn't just another farming sim (don't get me wrong i love stardew valley but come one guys, we have enough farming sims to last us a lifetime). Whilst growing plants is something you can do it is not essential to the game and takes up little time, especially when compared to games similar to it. I understand that a lot of people decided not to buy this game because of the "No one is streaming our game :(" situation but i promise you this game is worth putting that aside. Don't let it get in the way of you enjoying a fantastic game.
