Sprocket on Steam - User reviews, Price & Information

Carefully balance mobility, firepower and armour in a dedicated tank designer. Then uncarefully put them to the test in a series of combat scenarios progressing through the ages of the tank. Here, your limit is what you can fit inside your hull and turret while still being able to move forwards.

Overall positive, there are some... things that need work, I'm sure that now that the team is now "1.5 people" instead of "1.0", some of these things will get better, hopefully once the new guy gets up-to-speed we can really start seeing this game really come together. 1) Limited Part Customization, extra part selection is limited, things like hatches, storage, vents. The things that make a tank actually usable. A part designer for those that wish for all the details to make them "lived-in" and not just conceptual items in development would be nice, even if this part designer just produces non-functional pieces. 2) Limited Battle/Scenario. A "Scenario Editor" would be nice, including provision for "soft" targets and such. 3) Focused on Tank on Tank. Tanks have to deal with non-tank enemies, infantry, artillery, fortifications, air threats. 4) Timeframe limits, tank development didn't stop after 1945-ish, expanding the timeframe would be ideal (mainly because I think the turret traverse motor limits are in fact, restrictive. 5) Crew Performance related items, other things besides "hard stats" affect the performance of an armored vehicle or its crew. Gun Fumes, Rammers and Loading Trays, Gun Recoil Safety Shields, Gun Recoiling methods, Breach Block Design, Heating, Intercomm, the Tea Maker (Boiling Vessel), Radio, Maps, secondary optics (or main optics not located coaxially), vision/SA optics, control panels, infantry telephone. These things matter as well as the armor thickness and gun performance. 6) Expansion into further things, the editor is great, but what if you where the director or armored forces, which vehicles would you use, how are they organized, the doctrine they adhere to. This is a great base to expand further to really not just test your ability to design a tank that can win an engagement, but something to win a war. Sustainment over the entire operations, fuel range matters, repairs including part accessibility matters, the ability to be transported by rail, over bridges, low quality roads... Max Casting Sizes, Max Crane sizes, shipment space if going overseas, eyebolts. This is something that could take this project to the next level. Think Rule the Waves but for armored forces.

My GOAT Hamish. You've made a really beautiful game here. That I will definitely spend hundreds of hours more of my time, making strange tanks that I will never look at again... The new interior update is just... I love it. Might've been a long wait, sure, but you made it SOLO!! And it works exactly how I wanted it to work. Please never stop improving this game my man. All love.

Good game for people that love tracked armored vehicles and always wanted to build their own. Also: Steam says the game hasn't been updated in more than two years, this isn't true the game is still being worked on and updated semi frequently.
