It says I have played over 1200 hours of this game, it is possible, I played this game as a kid so much I am sure my parents thought I would probably be a bum for the rest of my life. SIMONSAYS!!!!

Dad played it when I was a kid, I got on and played from time-to-time and now we both still play. It's been around for over 20 years, this game still slaps.

Love this game! I used to play it as a kid with my friends. It's built on the AOE2 engine, but they really put time and effort into it. It is a little clunky for 2025, since the original came out in 2001. But if you can get over that, you will love it. Highly recommend the "Expanding Fronts" mod. It allows you to play in high res and 60 fps, and adds a bunch of civs and features. It is basically an unofficial expansion.

With Expanding Fronts game is 10/10 For all of you who don't know trick how to launch Expanding Fronts from Steam, it's easy process. Rename player into battlegrounds_x2 And then rename battlegrounds_x2 into the player. Then launch the game from steam.

Played this game a lot when growing up, still an awesome game in 2024. Love the cheat codes, something that is a thing of the past.
