This is just an amazing game, it drove me to tears multiple times and I cannot recommend it more if you've grown tired of more conventional visual novels. Horror is great, Story is amazing and ties itself amazingly with the first game (which you should probably play first btw). I really liked it, even though the comedy toned down a bit in favor of a more serious tone, and it’s always nice to see the devs experimenting with new things in VNs. I’m super hyped for the third game. Also, I laughed so hard at the scene with Muu and the tags that I don't think I'll ever forget it. “Tags: (PINING) (SLOW BURNING) (AGE DIFFERENCE) (MOMMY) (MOSTERGIRL).... (FURRY)?? I'm not really sure if Rhok'zi is a monster girl or a furry.... Let's put both options in and see if the algorithm detects them” So based Muu.
I love this game! I think it leans a little less into humor compared to the last game, but I still really enjoyed the story! I especially adore the 360 environments and interactive elements. I liked the suspense of having to slowly open doors and react quickly. There were quite a few times that those door jumpscares got me. I’ve personally never seen a visual novel have these mechanics before but I’d definitely love to see more use them!
