Super Bit Blaster XL was a great game, and fun to Platinum. Here is some advice for those trying to get the 75K points achievement in one play through, The homing power up (H) is easily the best in my opinion, it lets you just evade the meteors and other ships, all while your points are constantly going up. if you have your settings on auto-fire then you will burn through bullets too quickly and lose the power-ups you like, so you need to learn to fire your own bullets. Lastly, the last ship is the easiest to get this achievement with (obviously) you get 4 bombs, 4 shields, and your mobility is the greatest out of any ship. Starting with 4 bombs and 4 shields, my plan was to get Homing power up, then evade the meteors the entire game, the shield power ups spawn a lot more frequently than bomb power ups, so for the early game, its better to take a hit than to drop a bomb, because you can get those shield power ups back easily. save your last bomb power up for when the points hit 72,000 ish points. The game will change drastically then, you will notice, try to last as long as you can and drop it then and you will get to over 80K points. Enjoy the game Nerds. :P

Super Bit Blaster XL takes everything from the previous game and turns it up a notch. Essentially making the original obsolete. Super Bit Blaster XL is a thrilling game with frustrating defeats. A perfect game for the steam deck, where you only have a few minutes to play and want to get some gaming in. Super Big Blaster XL is worth the $2.99 price. So it's an easy recommend at the $0.59 2025 Summer sale price.

I got Super Bit Blaster XL for free by owning the original, but both games are more than worth their asking price. This is not the most complicated game, but it is a fun little score chaser, and I think the price is quite fair for what the game is. I've played more than 5 hours and I'm pretty sure it regularly goes on sale for under a dollar.
