This game is fun i like it. The progression is good, the changes to the car feel right when on track. Need some longer races. This game is like the tiktok of racing games. I can do a 3 race rally championship in 10 minutes. Could have an endurance mode where all tracks are 3 laps or something. Otherwise pretty fun game.

runs at solid 60fps on steamdeck, Its the perfect steamdeck rally game. The value proposition and qualty of ths game are insane. I love the other Woden games and this might be the best yet. I would buy it for double the price and be happy. Thank you to the dev ViJuDa I have played it more and it just gets better. Easily best entry in the Woden series. Performance on Steamdeck continues to make it a pleasure to play.

Wow where did this rally game come from! This is quite simply a fantastic arcade rally game. I absolutely love all types of rally games from SIM to arcade. This is a lot like Art Of Rally, which is also a fantastic game, so if you liked that then you will love this. Also for the price which is currently at £7 its an absolute bargain! The UI and UX is very slick which I always appreciate and i'm running 4K 144hz with no issues at all and no stutters. The controls are spot on and the feeling of drifting an nailing a stage never gets old! Lots of different cars and stages, time trial, local multiplayer and online events give you plenty of reasons to keep coming back. My only small criticism is the replays. They are OK, but with only one view and no controls, I hope they will add some more camera angles and give you the usual style replay controls and then its perfect. A fantastic arcade rally experience!

What if art of rally but maximalist? yes I'm shameless comparing this to art of rally. Where art of rally had a casual gameplay loop and a surprisingly deep physics, this one flips that to have a sim-like (or more like Gran Turismo like) gameplay loop and a much more arcade-like physics. In art of rally you really have to temper the throttle, brake early and control the weight precisely to have a clean turn, but in Super Woden Rally Edge you think about none of that, once the car is in the drift mode the physics sort of switches and more throttle would directly translate to more turning. Instead, this game is all about staying on the road and keeping your momentum. On one hand, going off-road is severely punished, bumping into obstacles even more. On the other hand, your brake is very powerful, and a good drift can easily carry you around a corner without losing much speed. So if in doubt, flat out! That's in a way the actual meta here. One clear edge it has over art of rally is how distinct the tracks feel. In art of rally each country had a clear character in the overall composition of the tracks, but within the same country I feel there was not much variation, and none stood out as particularly memorable. Super Woden Rally Edge has a significantly smaller selection of tracks, but each one has been really interesting and memorable. Gameplay loop is mainly about earning credits and buying cars for the next class. There is an stage unlock system based on how many stars you collect, with those stars being three for finishing first, two for finishing second, one for finishing third. However, how well you perform also decides how well you are paid, and just getting the required stars normally wouldn't earn you enough credit to proceed to the next class, meaning you have to grind a little. Aesthetically, this game is loud and joyful and is extremely proud of that. It's a really good contrast to art of rally which was serene and meditative. I love how almost comedically positive the title screen is. The bombastic upbeat music, the speed lines, and the camera constantly swinging back and forth. Oh, and the 3D portion of the graphics have you choose between, among others, a CRT shader and a comic shader, just in case you are still feeling like an adult.

I also own the author's two previous games, Super Woden GP I and II, and my first impression after 3 hours is that this is the best game so far. When you compare the menu, sounds, and graphics, at first it seems like there is not much progress compared to previous titles on the technical level, but I still love this game because: * Rally fits the steering model of the series perfectly, it's fun to drive * the tracks are really good: they do not feel like just sequences of the same pre-made left,right,medium-left curves but like real, organic tracks. They have very nice flow and some interesting height differences, jumps, etc. Very well done! There is a great combination of classic rally stages, some head 2 head, and gymkhana, but clear emphasis on rally stages. * This is the perfect game to play when I need a break from Assetto Corsa Rally * I love Rally
