extremely tight and fun roguelike. Not quite at the level of the original, but they make huge improvements with every patch. While I would prefer more frequent updates, each update is like 3 reworks, 30 new items, a new mechanic and a kiss on the forehead so i'm not too mad.

Ignore all the negative reviews saying that the game is abandonware. The devs posted a beta build of their latest update like, a week ago. So far I'm having a lot of fun. I've had plenty of experience with the first game, and I can safely say that I'm enjoying it just as much.

Best game. I asked the dev to consider changing the animation for long guns so it's not shooting from the hip like a shotgun, he changed it within a few days. Based.

Sweet! New cursed item goodness. Let's read the description, shall we...? It reads: "Movement ability usage charges full screen damage (50) attack. Also kills users kin" Wow haha. That's poorly translated. Maybe it just hurts my teammates or someth- IT KILLS YOUR WHOLE FAMILY IN REAL LIFE. YOUR WHOLE FAMILY. YOUR WHOLE FAMILY IS DEAD.

I was a little hesitant at first but after playing some more I'm confident that with just a little more polish this game will be solidly better than the original, which is coming from someone with over 180 hours in Synthetik 1. If you haven't played the original i'd still recommend playing it first though as it's a much less overwhelming introduction to the mechanics. I do have one major gripe with the game though and it's something I've never had nearly as much of a problem with in any other game: The UI is AWFUL . Not the in game HUD, that's actually great. But navigating menus in this game is somehow more confusing and overwhelming than the actual gameplay. Just an example to give you an idea: as far as I know there is no way to directly start a new run after dying. You have to exit out of the game over screen back to the menu and then navigate through two seperate menus just to get back to the class select screen. The UI in its current state actively harms the game experience and needs a complete rework.
