It's a good start to the game, but it's not where it needs to be. Pros: -Fun skill systems, the warpaint is a great idea for a modular system -Weapons feel good, with a few having interesting mechanics -The art style is easy on the eyes, making it a good game to relax with -The Wyrd web system presents a minigame to your skill selection, which is a great idea Cons: -The levels are a bit overtuned, you rarely improve in power at the same rate as the stage difficulty. This is made worse by significant RNG for the stronger abilities -Warpaint is highly randomized, without a real way to narrow down a build. This will lead to a lot of grinding for a specific build -Enough weapons, not enough characters. Weapons don't have great passives, I've only seen one base weapon with any healing. Weapons need cool passives and only a few have them I'm still enjoying it, but it's not where it needs to be yet. I hope it improves.

WOW. Beats early access quality for 95% of games out there. Pretty darn polished right now and very fun. Honestly this is already top-tier bullet-hell with the content already released. You really feel awesome while running through mobs too slow to smack you while you blow them to smithereens. This one definitely stands out and could make it all the way to the top charts of bullet hells. Easily worth $7

I found it quite fun but sadly its stats and runes system is a mess, the ability system is too dependent on RNG, and finally the knots system has the same problem as the ability system while being unintuitive and overly punishing. While other survivor like games are also RNG based in this game it feels overly punishing.

I think the game lacked the option of co-op, local or online. I also missed a greater variety of characters, which I think would be good. I know we're in early access, but I felt that some things could improve the player experience. I played with my girlfriend and we felt frustrated when we tried to make two compendiums and saw that we couldn't, and this wasn't mentioned anywhere. Personally, I would like to see individuality in the skill upgrades. I felt it was repetitive and very standardized. At least the heroes' basic attack could evolve at maximum level.
