Fun little desktop companion that fights enemies and goes on adventures the more clicks and keystrokes you do.

I didn't need another game. I really didn't. And yet here I am, genuinely excited every time I glance at the bottom of my monitor to see what loot my little pixel character picked up while I was doing literally anything else. That's basically the whole pitch: Tap Tap Loot sits in the corner of your screen, reacts to your keyboard and mouse inputs from any window, and turns your everyday computer usage into a tiny RPG adventure. Type an email your character fights a monster. Click around in a browser, chest opens, loot drops. It's stupid simple and somehow completely addictive. The pixel art is genuinely charming, the loot system gives you just enough build variety to feel like your choices matter, and the multiplayer lets you run alongside friends or strangers which adds a weirdly wholesome competitive energy to something as mundane as typing. Now the honest part: calling this an "idle game" is a stretch. It's really a clicker that just happens to accept inputs from other apps. If you sit back and do nothing, your character does nothing. Also the mythic item drop rates are genuinely brutal. But for what it is, a cute little desktop companion that makes staring at your PC feel slightly more rewarding, it works really well. My screen is slowly turning into a pixel art zoo and I have zero regrets. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45170856/] >>>>Curator Page<<<<

Played a lot of the demo and enjoyed it as it's a fun little desktop buddy to watch as you work or play at your pc. I got into the game after needing some motivation to get typing again as I play in several online TTRPG groups and felt it would encourage me to participate more, in which it has, and the other members of my TTRPG group play in the same lobby so we often 'race' each other. The multiplayer is very barebones, at least in its current state, but seeing others kinda helps the motivation to keep tapping =p Overall, it does what it needs to and with a little more depth than the usual "number go up" buddies as you have various equipment and builds to play around with. [Review was updated following update from the developer. review was previously negative after not disclosing that one of the in-game bonuses required purchasing a paid DLC from a different game. This bonus has since been removed. Developer was very reasonable about the feedback]
