Bought the game in 2016 and have chased its shadow since then. In reflection I must admit: it has shaped my taste in video games like no other game EVER. It has lived in my mind for all my teenage and adult years. It is the only game I have been TRULY obsessed with. I never managed to beat it or even liked to play it that much. Nonetheless: it has shown me, what it must feel like to play Polybius. I feel like I have been cursed with knowledge.

Holy $#it. How have I not left a review of this amazing game?? I have dumped 510 hours into this. Well friends, it's not easy. The stages are different each run, but not that different. In this games case however, this is a good thing. The lore of this game is awesome. The action in this game is awesome. It's chaotic. It will surprise you even when you know there is a whole surge of mobs headed your way. There is even crafting! But when you finally get to a further point, you feel like a G@T)&MN BEAST! Give it a go, won't you? Not like it's real pricey. Doesn't even take up much room at all. Plus, could run on a toaster. Top tier game right here. Unless you're just weak and have no patience, then of course, this game is not for you.

took 60 hours, lots of dying, and about 98 tries to beat this game in one run. You are a scientist who was boarded up after an accident in a teleportation facility. You are looking for the main teleporter so you can go home, but theres zombies, mutants and AI robots after you. You can craft items to help along the way, and fully exploring each floor will lead to secret gear. Start with powerlegs thank me later. 2024 and this is still peerless among its kind (unfortunately). This is a masterclass and showcase on the potential weight and impact of game design. It is barely a few silly pixels on your screen, and it will terrify, asphyxiate, intrigue and charm you. Great atmosphere, capsule-sized plot that is surprisingly captivating and compelling, with sound design made with a care and attention that you wouldn't expect looking at the game from a glance. Every aspect and part of this game comes together beautifully, with nothing left unaccounted for. The game masterfully gives you reason to feel great about every advantage you manage to claw your way into. If you like survival horror and roguelikes, do not let this hidden gem pass you by.
