Fun game and it is just brutal. Random events can ruin a well thought out plan and kill ya randomly 60% of the way through a game haha. But it is fun in short bursts. Might wanna keep em short though so you don't punch your monitor.

A great little game to play in little bursts. The mechanics are neat and it feels like a well thought out single player boardgame. It can get quite tricky on the higher difficulties =)

Love the game just wish they didnt abandon the type of game play. I'm fine with the no longer be update or expanded... make another with the same game play call it Tharsis 2 or something. Did it really sell that bad????????

An incredibly punishing die-based game about the trip to Mars (and oh yeah, you'll die a lot on the way there). When some kind of incident impacts your ship, your crew must desperately move around the ship, using their precious dice rolls to cultivate food, heal themselves physically and emotionally, and repair damage before it kills your astronauts or destroys the ship. If you run out of food you can eat corpses: it's a pretty bleak game. The mechanics are challenging and punishing but consequently a successful run feels really, really good. There are some occasional bugs that can largely be avoided by not messing around with the dice in ways you shouldn't. Highly recommended sci-fi horror!
