March 2025
I don't even have any friends, but this is still one of the funnest games I've played in a while. The level design is simply fantastic. Rivaling the all time greats like TimeSplitters and 7 Days To Die. Mechanically, Floor 4 is flawless in execution. Thematically, Barney's Party completely shreds. Even Stairs, which I consider to be the weakest offering, is just novel enough to be an absolute blast. The best kind of spot the difference game. I can't stop playing it. The anomalies are too good. Ranging from unmissably ridiculous to minute events which stretch well beyond the concept of subtle. Straight up shadow people appearing where they weren't. Alarms blaring. To something as tame as a poster being slightly askew. My favorite is when something doesn't feel quite right in the "Normal" instance. And the anomaly "fixes" it. So your brain experiences some cognitive dissidence. Like a fish is 'normal'. A tractor hitched to a loaded trailer is 'normal'. Colors not matching, to colors perfectly matching. Cup on the floor to cup on a self. etc. It can take a second to register what is actually happening. The game perfectly merges the concepts of subdued, self inflicted psychological horror with a satisfying dose of actual, gritty, in-your-face horror. Firmly grounded within a framework of terror filled environments. Whether it'll be second guessing if the sky has always been blue your 7th time through the run or having the lights suddenly extinguish themselves, tainting a would be fun party time adventure with tension and dread. It really is phenomenal. The micro transactions are a bit weird. Like half the price of the game for a large magnifying glass... Okay? Like I get it more about supporting the devs. But I feel like there are better ways to do it. Too expensive for too little. If there was a bundle with like everything for like 5$, with the SUPPORTING the devs aspect from and center... Maybe they get more buyers. Idk. It feels a bit scummy to lock ALL customization options behind a paywall. Even if it is an EXTREMELY minor facet to the game. Yeah you can change your pants color or be a holloweeny... But like... damn Gina. Again, I play single player so I never see my model. This kinda stuff just bugs me. All this being said: This game is not for people without an attention span. As failure to properly identify an anomaly will result in a full restart of the level. As such, a passion for details goes a long way. It's so good. Some of the anomalies... Very creative. Much fun. Get it whenever you can for whatever you can. Easier with friends... Though, not necessarily better. Longer runs equals more anomalies. Hope this helps.

The game is fun, and deserves a play, but the developers don't seem to be putting out as much content as they promised. One map a month is ambitious, and they are closer to releasing one every 3 months. I hope they continue supporting the game, because there's a lot of potential in this. Otherwise, the spooky spot-the-difference/I'm On Observation Duty-like game is fun and has a good amount of anomalies and decent scares to find. There's a good amount of replayability in finding every anomaly in each map. Highly recommend playing with friends.

The Recent Reviews on this game are not what they should be. The Game just came out of its 1.0 update and the game is good. It Will 100% be a thousand times better as they add more maps and cosmetics. I am going to make one request and its to add the posibility to make your own maps for friends on the workshop. This game is one of a kind and deserves loves. -Man Of Many Names

The reviews that are talking down on this game are just a bunch of nerds that dont know how to have fun or they just went into the game knowing too much. The experience is way better if you havnt watched anyone play it so you dont anticipate the worst, This game is really enjoyable to play with friends and if you feel like it you can speedrun the game after you get the feel of the maps.
