A very compelling and engaging story with great accompanying music. There are some minor English mistranslations, but the ideas are coherent, and the story continues to flow well. I’m looking forward to the next episodes. Reading how delusional and unaware the "I" character is really interesting considering the premeditated planning and meticulous nature in conducting the abduction. Once “I” has done all that they’ve done and now that their true nature comes out as unprepared, it’s really funny. It’s even funnier with the contrast that Rin has to “I”. I was pleased to find some humor in this novel even if it may not be intentional, but it surely must be. I also loved that during the climax, the character you’re spectating changes, it didn’t immediately occur to me until afterwards that the action would be from Rin.

This game is pretty short and does a good job having you wondering who is the predator and who is the prey. The writer isn't English native speaker so some sentences aren't perfect but it gets to the point. All I have left to do is to read John Fowles' novel so it will come full circle.

Pretty nice and thrilling short vn! The story is quite intriguing and messed-up, despite it feeling somewhat rushed I still enjoyed it a lot. The visuals are lovely, I adore the character sprites, CGs and general aesthetic of the game. The music is great too and provides an awesome atmosphere, especially during tense moments. I additionally liked the narrative with the perspective changes and found the characters and their dynamics to be very interesting and honestly wish that there was more insight into them. Overall I certainly enjoyed this and just wish that the game was longer since it has major potential!

Incredible game, could not recommend more. Great story, beautiful art, and the characters are so SO good. The main character is so hateable in such a satisfying way, reminds me of men i know in real life (who i wouldnt mind meeting the same fate lmao). IF YOU LIKE HORROR AND GOOD STORYTELLING, PLAY THIS GAME!!!

A short horror/thriller VN framed around John Fowles' novel, The Collector, in a Chinese setting. I read the book and have seen the movie based on it, though its been a long time admittedly. I remembered well enough to catch references and similarities outside the obvious times the characters refer to the novel and I think that enhanced the atmosphere but I'd also say its easy enough to follow along even if you haven't experienced Fowles' work. It's very obviously translated by a non-native speaker and some word choices are quite strange, but there is nothing that is impossible to understand. The story overall is dark and tense, most (but not all) of it through the eyes of a highly dislikeable and delusional character. But then, the final sequence really caught me off guard even when I thought I had predicted what would happen. It's a mature and disturbing tale, not for the faint of heart and surely could use another pass for proofreading + polish — but for the price I definitely got my money's worth. From a moment to moment point of view, it kept me engaged and entertained and I am interested to see something mentioned in the ending expanded upon...
