The Coma: Recut is everything you need for a couple of hours before bed if you’re into something scary. The story is as simple as it gets: you go to school, find an amulet on the way, take it, sit through a lesson, fall asleep… and wake up late at night in a spirit world. Your goal is to escape it while running from monsters — including your “favorite teacher,” who turns into something much more terrifying. Gameplay/Graphics: Everything is very straightforward here. It’s a 2D indie horror platformer with pretty tough controls that can be really frustrating at times. Overall: It’s a good game. I recommend it.

So far, not a bad game, but now my third playthrough. Started for the first time on my old computer, got a Switch and bought the first three games (1, 2 and 2B) for it and started on there and now got a new laptop that I, for some god-forsaken reason, have to restart the entire game on. So far, it isn't a bad game and not near as difficult now that I know the techniques of it, but so far it's all over the place. The story's comprehensible but fairly confusing at times, but I don't hate it so far. The gameplay's fairly boring with you running around the school searching for keycards and keys and whatnot to complete whatever objective you currently have. The characters so far are kind of mundane, contrary to what the gooners hyperfixating on the "hot" killer teacher are talking about. And the graphics, even though I didn't really but it for the graphics, aren't bad despite it being a 2D game. However, the threats in the game get stupid extra, over-the-top and confusing for no genuine reason. When you get to the main building, on top of Ms. Song trying to chase you down and stick her box cutter up whatever orifice is readily accessible, the game adds on poison, ceiling sneak attacks and scratches on top of the already prevalent slasher, who is nothing to complain about since she really isn't that hard to counter and outrun in the beginning, but then, in the main building, she gets fake outs and teleportation where, if you do something like running to the stairs and doing a breath hold to hide from her and stop too soon I'm assuming, it comes back to bite you extremely quickly. This is very obviously a "skill issue" on my part though, so don't actually take what I'm saying about this here too seriously, besides just be patient when you're hiding from her after the West Building. Going to keep playing to see if my perspective changes or this game hits me with some wow factor that I've yet to see, but so far, it really isn't a bad game and is easily a 7/10 or maybe a 6.5/10 on a bad day.

The teacher is scary, hot, and chasing me through school. I was stressed. I was confused. And I was playing the game with one hand. Great game

This isn't a great game, but it's mostly playable. It's mostly one of those "hide and seek" type horror games where the enemy chases you and you find something to hide in or come up with a different evasion tactic. The only trouble with this design is that there is a stamina bar and if your stamina runs out you are pretty much screwed. Beyond that you can also run to save points and reloading your save will make the enemy disappear. There's no combat and really no puzzle element, the game is mostly comprised of plodding exploration and reaching different objective markers. I was able to complete it without a guide, so it's not that hard, but the final section of this game is a pain because it's essentially a labyrinth with no clear way through. I really like the very end section of this game because there's a bit of a puzzle to it in terms of how you figure out to reach the exit. Unfortunately one of the doors to unlock the true ending is badly glitched and it took me a few hours of experimentation to actually get it open, and the story isn't that interesting anyway. It's worth playing, but "Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood" is a similar but much better game by this developer. This game sorely lacked a puzzle element and the stealth is often too frustrating to be fun.
