I can't fully express how much I love this game. Fata isn’t simply a VN I adore it’s a story that altered the way I think about tragedy, forgiveness and the cruelty of time. Calling it my favorite feels almost insufficient, it’s a work whose characters lingered long after the credits, it felt more like being haunted, in the best possible way.

If it's possible, it is beyond my ability. The House in Fata Morgana did something exceptionally, exceptionally rare: It made me grateful that I was Alive. It made me grateful that I had the chance to experience it, and that I chose to. It made me grateful for something else, too. I love you, Saintess.

Essentially no game design to speak of, though an excellent Work of Literature. Has a handful of moments where the pacing turns glacial, asking for near biblical faith from the reader, though said faith is consistently and duly rewarded. Perhaps the most romantic work of art I've had the pleasure of enjoying since maybe Punch Drunk Love. And that's one heck of a romantic movie.
