Se eu soubesse que esse KOF é uma evolução total do 97, talvez eu tivesse comprado ele primeiro. Apesar de também ser um dreammatch, ele tem tudo que o 97 não tem, como: sala de treinamento, mais personagens uma leve melhorada na gameplay, mas eu tenho que destacar um ponto alto que praticamente todo KOF tem que é a trilha sonora! Todos os jogos dessa franquia tem uma OST maravilhosa que, não ironicamente, escuto todos os dias. Meu conselho é esse, se você quer só gameplay, combos e jogar online, compre esse primeiro, se quer jogar um pela história e música boa, compre o 97 primeiro, de qualquer forma, recomendo os dois.

It all began in '94... KOF is a series that passed me by the wayside. I am sure that it did for most people, too. Partially due to the fact that I was born way too late for this series to truly intrest me. However, one day, young child me decided that he would get into fighting games. And I sucked at it. But that wasn't the important thing, I loved the few fighting games I played, to the point that I tried to play all the ones I could... Yet I was kinda intimidated by KOF. I had heard of the intimidating difficulty of KOF, and I was terrified of how these games would turn my colon inside out. But one day I decided to watch the series by Thorgi's Arcade about these games... And the stories of the games, the gameplay, the story of the company, and the overall bittersweet ending, made me interested in KOF. So, of course, I started with this one... And it was great. I am not good at these games, in fact, I am quite terrible. However, the sprites were great, the animations were great, the character designs were great, the AI was... okay, the gameplay felt amazing, and above all else, I just felt smitten by how it all played. So yes, this game is wonderful. And I am terrible at it. But that doesn't matter, because even to me, it just feels so sweet.

For those who grew up in the 90s or 2000s, who has never been to an arcade or restaurant that had a KOF 98 machine on display... you got tokens and played this wonderful game on those arcade controls and in the end you got GAME OVER and ran out of tokens? At these times you are feeling like a nostalgic old man like me too! and this King of Fighters 98 is without a doubt the BEST KING OF FIGHTERS of the franchise!! I have more memories and it was the one I played the most on various KOF 98 machines in countless places I went to over the years of my life! more than 97, 99, 2000, 2001 and 2002 and if I were SNK... I would release 99 and 2000 for STEAM RIGHT NOW!
