Yes but with a caveat or 12. This game is actually pretty good. Nice music and graphics and atmosphere. I experienced no bugs during my playthrough. The game feels like a remaster of the first resident evil had a baby with the first silent hill and decided to teach it nothing new and even make some even weirder design decisions. Its worth it on sale.. about 8 hours to complete or less. Enemies are bullet sponges and tank controls only...those two are my main gripes. Fixed camera angles (so it looks works an old PS1 or PS2 game) but no option to go modern. No difficulty settings... manual save points (suck!) So yea I actually hated it, but i liked it at the same time... it was good, just beware what you're getting into... frustrating controls and bullet sponge enemies. Fairly easy puzzles except for maybe 1 which is more annoying than challenging. Good luck!

Absolutely recommend if you are a fan of classic survival horror games like the original Resident Evil games. Presentation is great, game looks fantastic with those fixed camera angles. There were some tense moments and some fun puzzles to solve. The inventory storage system was odd, storage boxes aren't connected. Other than that I enjoyed this a lot.

Esta muy bien! Bien logrado, no pretencioso. Cumple y promete. Buenos puzzles. La unica contra es el guardado. No autosave, no molesta al comienzo, pero al final mapa grande (y se mueve lenta ella). Estaria bueno un punto de guardado antes de una boss fight. Las boss fights bien en gral, los enemigos tambien.

Rating: 8/10 Mute House is a surprisingly strong budget indie survival horror title that knows exactly what kind of experience it wants to deliver. As someone who grew up on classic Resident Evil fixed‑camera games, this felt like a genuine homage — not a shallow imitation, but a thoughtful recreation of what made that era special. What the Game Does Well Authentic Fixed‑Camera Survival Horror: The angles, pacing, and movement all channel that PS1‑era tension. It’s nostalgic in the best way. Tight Inventory & Crafting: You’re constantly making meaningful decisions about what to carry and what to craft. It adds pressure without feeling unfair. Atmosphere & Music: The sound design is excellent for a small indie team. The ambience, the quiet moments, and the soundtrack all work together to create a moody, unsettling environment. Exploration & Backtracking: The level design encourages revisiting areas, unlocking shortcuts, and piecing together the house’s layout. It scratches that classic survival‑horror itch. Puzzles: The puzzles are surprisingly challenging at times, and solving them feels genuinely rewarding. They fit naturally into the world and help reinforce that old‑school survival horror identity. Story & Pacing: The narrative moves at a good rhythm, never dragging, never rushing. It’s simple but effective, and it keeps you engaged. Where It Falls Short No Map System: In a game built around exploration and backtracking, the lack of a map is felt. It’s not game‑breaking, but it can be frustrating. No Upgrade System: The absence of character or weapon upgrades limits long‑term progression. You feel capable, but never evolving. Not Quite Scary Enough: The atmosphere is strong, but the actual fear factor doesn’t fully land. A bit more intensity or unpredictability would elevate the experience. Character Designs Surprisingly solid for a low‑budget indie. They’re not groundbreaking, but they fit the tone and world well. Final Thoughts Given its indie scope, Mute House delivers a shockingly good classic survival‑horror experience. It’s atmospheric, mechanically tight, and clearly made with love for the genre. The missing map and upgrade systems hold it back from greatness, but what’s here is genuinely impressive. If you enjoy old‑school fixed‑camera horror, this is absolutely worth your time. Score: 8/10

It was a generally fun old school Resident Evil like game. Only gripes are, A: Stash in safe rooms isn't linked, you gotta run stuff around the map. and B: Last boss is a one shot and the run back is lame. Other than that it was fun. Worth a playthrough. Took me about 5 hours to beat, my Steam record didn't record my playtime properly so ignore my time played.
