Fun short puzzle game. It's not terribly hard. I admit to getting stuck a couple of times, though. There is some serious philosophy discussed, but it is done in an unpretentious and casual way. Usually it would seem absurd for a video game to bring up Jung and Plato, but it didn't here. The narration was a big piece of the tone and it struck just right.

The Search is a quiet, meditative adventure, less a traditional game and more an introspective journey through art, philosophy and self discovery. It belongs to that rare breed of experiences that ask you to slow down, to reflect, and to listen. There are no enemies, no timers and no fail states; only the gentle rhythm of curiosity guiding you forward. You awaken in a serene, surreal world filled with cryptic symbols and poetic messages, moving from one beautifully rendered environment to another. Each location feels like a painting brought to life: muted colors, delicate lighting and the faint hum of nature or distant echoes. It’s not a place to conquer, but to inhabit. A quiet refuge for the player’s thoughts. Mechanically, The Search is simple by design. You solve small environmental puzzles, collect drawings and decipher bits of text left behind by an unseen voice; a kind of mentor who muses on creativity, existence and meaning. The writing is surprisingly grounded, never pretentious, and it gives the game its emotional core. It feels as if you’re having a conversation with your own subconscious. What truly sets The Search apart is its tone. There’s a warmth beneath the abstraction, a sincerity that makes its minimalism feel purposeful rather than empty. It evokes the quiet contemplation of Myst, but trades grandeur for intimacy. It doesn’t want to impress you, it wants to connect with you. The only real flaw is its brevity. Just as you begin to sink into its rhythm, the journey ends; gracefully, but sooner than you’d like. Still, in its short runtime, The Search offers something genuinely rare: stillness. Really short, Like I had to beat it twice to get all the achievements and it took about 69 minutes, If this didn't only cost me 99 cents I would be refunding it.
