It`s a funny god-mode game. You can help them, you can kill them, you can try mess other civilizations, and you can build a city somehow like a city a builder and evolve their knowledge until they reach the modern technology.

Reminds me of Black and White, its great fun to be a god. The game has a great sense of humor, easy to understand controls and is generally enjoyable.

Universim plays kind of like a semi-hands off City Builder. You're watching an Ant farm of your own creation grow. You're building civilization, but not with your own hands. Expect more and you'll be disappointed. Gameplay: You place buildings to work at and assign people to work them at first. You locate resources and place buildings on the deposits for the nuggets to work. At some point, you can hire a mayor to assign workers for you. By mid-game you can hire advisors that will place some of the buildings for you. By end game you can literally walk away or watch the simulation if you so choose except to handle disasters or make large changes ... Turn disasters off and this thing can run while you sleep or do your chores. 11/10 recommended for a good vibe and a good time. A note on the Developer, because this is important these days: I bought this in alpha and it was released with enough content to keep me busy during the alpha phase (nearly 350 hours during alpha period). The developers continued to communicate through the fairly short development period and enhanced their product as the alpha phase went on. At one point I streamed the game on twitch during the development phase, and one of the people working on it actually stopped by the stream to inquire how I was enjoying the game. Pretty solid. Crytivo kept just enough content hidden behind closed doors that when the game released I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was still to offer. Definitely well worth the purchase price. Crytivo, you're a keeper of a developer, I'll be watching for your next titles.

Incredibly slow. And natural disasters can kill a game. Played for about 7 hours and my population platued. Hit a fire storm and lost half my pops because they couldnt get to the bunkers in time. Its fun and Im going to try again but can't recommend until there is a way to go beyond x2 time. With parts of the game being a 20-30 minute waiting period this game is fun but plan to have it up on a second monitor while you watch TV on another screen. Leaving a positive review because it is good, but just wanted to warn others that it might not be your thing.
