This game is like a cozy storybook version of Overlord (2007). You command different varieties of woodland sprites to collect resources, unlock new areas, and defeat enemies in a magical woodland plagued by an ancient evil. Progression feels rewarding and varied, with a combination of exploration, crafting, and environmental puzzles. Combined with a beautiful 2.5D artstyle and a lovely soundtrack, The Wild at Heart is a strong recommend. Plus, it's published by Humble <3

🎮 The Wild at Heart – A Soft, Magical Hug in Game Form 🌿✨ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OMG, I loved this game so so much 🥺💖 From the very start, The Wild at Heart had me enchanted. The art style? Simply dreamy 🌙🎨 — like walking through a moving Ghibli painting. The woods, the lighting, the soft color palette... everything felt so magical and alive 🍂🍄🌌 👦👧 The two main characters, Wake and Kirby, were just so precious. Their journey felt real, gentle, and emotional. I found myself rooting for them so hard 🥹💕 And don’t get me started on the little Spritelings 😭🪲💫 — SO cute!! I loved how they followed me around in a chaotic little crowd and helped solve puzzles and battle. Each type had its own unique charm, and honestly… I want them in real life 🥹🌟 🎵 The soundtrack? Ugh, it’s like a warm hug for your ears 🎧💗 So relaxing, atmospheric, and sometimes haunting in the best way. I would literally pause just to listen and vibe with the world ✨🫧 📖 The story was heartwarming and tender. It explores loss, grief, friendship, and healing in such a thoughtful way 🥲🌱 I only wish the ending gave us a bit more. I was super curious about the night monster 🌑👀 and hoped they'd explore his backstory further. Also, the strained relationship between Wake and his father felt like it needed more depth. I know it’s tied to the loss of his mom, but still, I was craving just a little more explanation 🥺💔 BUT! Despite those small things, this game is an absolute GEM 💎🌈 Cozy, cute, emotional, and full of soul. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves soft adventures, magical creatures, and stories that gently pull at your heart 💞🌟 🎮💚 10/10 would get lost in the woods again.

I've just finished the game and it's 2.30 am so would say it's quite addicting. The story is captivating and the characters are absolutely adorable. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun game that is not too complicated but still insanely entertaining.
