April 2026
This is just the author's opinion. The game has been completed with 100% achievements. Samorost 3 is a game that simultaneously preserves the roots of the series while scaling it up to the level of a full-fledged AAA indie hit. The first two games in the series were short, uncomplicated — almost like demo versions — but the third one has become a full-length adventure. Unlike the previous two entries, this installment is built around the world of music and proper adventures: new puzzles, new journeys. That's why its greatest strength is the atmosphere. I couldn't resist replaying the game 10 years after its release, and I can't help but write a review — because is such a game even worth your attention in 2026? The story in this game is told in a fictional language, conveyed through emotions and musical sounds. The full plot kicks off as you travel across planets and help the local inhabitants, and it all starts because of the flute. We're used to typical modern stories where we mostly kill enemies or solve puzzles, but this game is built around saving and helping everyone through music — listening to the music created by beetles or planets, all to play the right note. Of course, I didn't fully understand the deeper meaning, but the game is still amazing and worth your time. Flaws? For me, there are none. The gameplay is incredible and pleasant — this is a game where you truly relax. Still, this game is mostly for fans of Amanita Design's series. Not everyone will like it. This is my personal opinion, and I recommend this game.

Samorost 3 is what happens when the series looks at reality, nods politely, and then walks in the opposite direction while playing a flute made of mushrooms. You are once again a tiny gnome in space, except now you have a magic space flute. This flute does not play music so much as it politely rearranges the laws of the universe. Blow into it and suddenly plants wake up, machines cooperate, and entire ecosystems say, “Ah yes, this makes sense.” The visuals are absolutely unhinged in the best way. Every planet looks like it was handcrafted by an artist who refuses to use straight lines or normal thoughts. Rocks breathe. Trees have opinions. Somewhere, a mushroom is definitely watching you. The puzzles are now more “interact with the environment until it vibes back.” Logic exists, but only as a suggestion. Sometimes you solve a puzzle and feel clever. Other times the game solves you, and you just accept it. The soundtrack is next-level. It doesn’t just play in the background—it becomes part of the world. You’re not listening to music; you’re participating in an intergalactic jam session where every planet brought its own weird instrument. 10/10 Not a game. A peaceful space hallucination with excellent sound design.

More surrealist space adventures from Amanita, Samorost 3 is visually stunning. Vibes based point and click puzzling only lightly marred by an almost too minimalist presentation, it's a must play for fans of the genre.

This game is honestly my most favorite game of all times. It feels like it is made with so much love and sacred inspiration. You know what soul food is? This is a soul game. it centers me, calms me, gives me peace. I just love every bit of it <3

Samorost 3 is a good sequel to the two previous game, following the similiar theme of exploration, interesting soundtrack, beautiful graphic design and a story told through pictures and sound. This time our Czech animation character is exploring space and other planets as he is saving the galaxy. With him he has a flute, that adds another gameplay element in comparison to the two previous Samorost titles. There's various mini games, making each planet feel unique in gameplay - but also in how it looks and sound! Definitely better than its two predecessors, Samorost 3 opens up for you to explore several worlds and neither feels too dragged out. There's just enough puzzles to solve without feeling like you've been in a place for too long. I recommend this to everyone who enjoys the unique and fun titles from Amanita Design!
